An actual back bonus tip instead of the "throw a sphere on sight" is to get a pal that has high DEF and ATK down passives. This allows you to weaken the pal and then swap to a tanky pal that won't wipe it while being able to distract and back bonus during combat. Alternatively, you can also use the stun baton.

My biggest question is can you place multiple pal boxes in one base? If the boxes behave like the gatcha in ark with a vicinity thing
