Too bad you wont offer Zone B SRB for certain rates that matter. Offering 45k for Zone A AD is absurd. But, I also don't wanna do fuel samples.

Wow… Navy Boot Camp seems un-intimidating compared to when I was in in 1985. Our Company Commanders (as they were known back then) were a couple of scary dudes with the gift of instant insults and put downs. Thanks to BTC Ambrose and ENC1 Rosler for being extremely hard on us. Gained 15 lbs of muscle and taught us how to look out for one another or we go down together. The weeks following Pearl Harbor there was a fervor of signing up to fight. Men and women rushing to join. In the west a large contingent of Navajo men showed up to go fight. They came with camp out sleeping bags and shovels and kitchen knives. They thought they had to bring their own things and the kitchen knives were their weapon and the shovel was to bury the dead. I think of them when I hear or see ridicule of our military. I think of them because it's never the weapon that can alter a war and create a victory. It is the honor of knowing your part of a country that treats you bad and prejudices you for your heritage but you only see one nation.

I’m actually going to the navy recruiters office August 31st of 2024. Can’t wait. Little nervous on what there going to say but still I want this opportunity because I want to do it for career and the disciplined. And with 4 years in rotc as a PO3. Has leadership knowledge, I know what I’m gonna get myself into.

I think the max pushups I did in Navy boot camp was 60…total… I did however learn how to fold the hell outta some shirts

We didn't sleep for 72 hours during intake, DIs were choking kids.
The generation before me DIs were beating the $hit out of kids in bathroom stalls.
What I just watched is an absolute disgrace to the uniform.

Our P-day RDC told us that other sailors would throw us overboard for a better chance at advancement. Old slickback.

THE USA NAVY WHEN I WAS IN 1989 IT WAS TOUGHER TO GET IN STANDARDS WERE MUCH HIGHER BOOT CAMP WAS 13 WEEKS NO FEMALES TRAINING WITH MALES NOW LOWER MUCH LOWER STANDARDS 8 WEEKS OF EASY EASY BOOT CAMP NO TOUGH VOLGARITY YET THE FLEET NAVY IS VERY VERY SHORT OF ITS REQUIRED AMOUNT OF SALIORS TO OPERATE SAFELY AND THEY ARE SCRAPPING THE BOTTOM OF THE BILGE FOR POTENTIAL RECURITS AND EVEN IF THET GRADUATE 30 PERCENT WILL NOT COMPLETE THERE COTRACTS DUE TO DISAPLINE TO STUPID DANGEROUS OR JUST WAY TO WOKE THE US NAVY IS IN A CRISIS

That seems like a vacation compared to what we went through in the Army. I went to boot canp at Fort Benning Georgia in 98. I remember shark attack vividly, I was terrified to come off those cattle trucks. Granted it may be played down for the camera, but seems like a different world from my experience. Hats off to them regardles.

To be honest go Air Force

I'm proud of my time as a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy but I would never tell anyone to join the Navy now. Airforce yes cause they have the College of the Air Force and skills will transfer to the Civillian world a lot better. None of my medical training from the Navy Transferred.
