This exercise is adapted from Postural Restoration. I generally use a small ball between my knees when doing this exercise.
This exercise is one of the basic methods I use to reposition a forwardly rotated left hemi-pelvis. We are attempting to activate our left hamstring while simultaneously turning off our left hip flexors. We are also making sure that we exhale fully, blowing all our air out, in order to get our ribs to come down via activation of our left internal obliques. This downward motion of our ribs will position our left diaphragm correctly to begin working as a breathing muscle again as we work to achieve a left Zone of Apposition.
The purpose of this channel is to help people understand and resolve chronic pain, and to help them cope with the emotional and spiritual pain that often goes along with it.
As someone who lived with chronic pain for many years of my life, I know how debilitating and isolating it can be. But I also know it can be resolved.
