This didnt age well 😂 the 200s 400s in line 4s are coming back BABY ❤
ОтветитьI don't think anything about this is true, more like wishful thinking to push out z900s.
The reason Royals Enfields are "popular" is because indians cant afford anything else, they WANT zx10rs but cant afford them
I would take a inline 4 engine way before I take a V4 engine! First a inline four sounds way better than a V4. The V4 engines sounds like a weed wacker, where the inline 4 has the most beautiful deep rumble i ever heard. Also the inline 4 has less vibration & doesn't over heat as quick as a v4 engine. Can't say to much about the V twin engine but it's definitely better than the V4 engine. They say the V4 is faster, but I don't think so.
ОтветитьJust bought a four cylinder for this reason. A Suzuki GSR750
ОтветитьYamaha f****d it’s own 600 cc r6 Rip
ОтветитьThe 4 cylinder motorcycles are coming back. This video is wrong 👍
ОтветитьCb4 vtec is one of reasons i love inline 4
ОтветитьLong as clowns show up on time they always be paid
ОтветитьIt's time for 3-cylinders to shine.
ОтветитьKawasaki rn😂
ОтветитьSad you don't mention the Nimbus in the start of the video
Ответитьi feel like there will always b people who prefer different types of bike. so the trend might come n go like harley davidson. people over rating the specs on bikes which people rnt even fully gonna use on the street any ways, on the track race bikes r the best in everyway. the sound in inline 4 is without a doubt the best. it might b sad to let that go. but m happy they launched zx4rr n we continue to see more come.
Ответитьzx4rr is typing
ОтветитьI don’t know what to think. But where I live BMW S1000RR is the king . I see also more people changing the GS boxer for S1000XR which is such a dope bike. Pace.
ОтветитьI hated this video so much I want my money back
ОтветитьKawasaki ZX-4rr has entered the chat
ОтветитьYou blabber on confusing the reason for the loss of inline bikes with the loss of 'sport bikes'. Flash back to the '70s, the Japanese all sold inline 4 powered standard bikes in many displacements. Riders loved the smoothness of the small 4s over the vibration of most twins. In the '80s the Nips realized they should make engines specifically suited to an application, we got the V4 Honda Interceptors, the big V4 touring models from yamaha and Suzuki, and all 4 sold vee twin Harley wannabes in various sizes after the first tried inline 4 'cruisers'
The 1200 Suzuki Bandit was in my opinion one of the all time most excellent bikes arounf yr 2000. Its inline 4 worked perfectly. and it is a 'sporty standard' i suppose. This century brought along interest in adv touring bikes, and an inline 4 is awkward for that application! though BMW tried ? haha
Now the Inline four is largely replaced in many applications not because it needs to be a high rpm screamer but for the simple reason a parallel twin is CHEAPER to build. That is the key, being CHEAP. A single head is cheaper to build, especially when there are over head cams to drive. Balance shafts squelch the vibes, the twin is also relatively compact and easy to package over a wide range of sizes as well as bike applications. It will not compete on a race track with multis, but being cheap it will sell in decent numbers. The added interest in 'retro models' helps too, though Kawaski and Honda both sell excellent 'retro' fours. You omit mention of the popular BMW S100 series of inline 4s also, presumably BMW is comfortable with inline engines as they have avoided any vee type motorcycle engines. I agree the sportbike is not a great bike to own for most riders, it is not versatile. If I needed a bike now, a Kawasaki Z900 RS would be a likely candidate, it is as verstile as a '70s standard.
Your limited knowlege of history also showed when you jumped from Indian fours to the MV Augusta 600; The unsuccessful MV 600 was based on the very successfull MV racers with 3 and 4 cylinders of the '60s. through the 40s and 50s Italian companies including Benelli and Gilera were racing 4 cylinder bikes before MV, when the Japanese makers wanted to develop their reputations they did it by following the successfull European designs. It was to the Japanese makers credit that they could produce and sell multicylider engines at a moderate price while the Italians only managed to build small numbers of factory racers. Did you know the Kawasaki Z1 was heavily 'inspired by doubling up the German NSU 450 Imperator?
Give me inline 4s or give me death.
ОтветитьI had a gsxr 600 and now i got an rsv4.
Thinking back, the 600 is stupid, put simply. It has no torque. I would be better off with a mt 07 or mt 09, the 09 making about the same hp but having much more torque.
Trust me, it's not that fun going 160+mph on a 600 is not something you will want to do regularly.
Plus, the other bikes will have much better fuel consumption for the same speeds.
The 600 4 cylinder will have to rev the shit out of the engine to get moving. It may be a nice track toy but mot much more than that.
The problem is that police nowadays treat traffic crimes like actual crime, back in the day you and some buddies Could go do wheelies and donuts in an abandoned car park and everyone had better things to do with their life than stop you unless it was near where people lived and yku were keeping them awake. Nowadays good luck getting someone 20 years or younger who has the coin to buy a bike or car new anyway let alone the carefree spirit to go be a total hooligan on it. And even if you do some joyless old crone is probably gonna call the cops who come and act like you actually hit someone just because you broke a few dozen meaningless traffic regulations
ОтветитьMy turbo ZX14r will outrun the busa and extinction. 😆❤️
ОтветитьI really love the triples because of there whistling sound throughtout rev range…
ОтветитьTrue… Please recommend me, I’m confused between GSX-1000GT and Tracer 9GT…
ОтветитьYou might see less of them in the line ups but i would bet my life Kawasaki still has a inline 4 even if//when no one else does.... Its kinda their jam.
ОтветитьI am watching this at 2am. Good night I guess.
Ответитьi hope inline 4 cars dont go extinct
ОтветитьWell maybe motorcycles shouldn’t be the same price as some cars. Even used bikes right now are ridiculous.
ОтветитьThis into had me dying!
ОтветитьDude, in your history list, you forgot to mention the very advanced Gilera Rondine that came in 1935 (4 cylinders 500 cc, DOHC, watercooled, compressor, 80 bhp, 274 kph), long before MV Agusta.
Ответитьall engines will be going extinct soon.
ОтветитьZoomer while they might not like high displacement i4 the amount of young riders I have talked to who would love a 250 i4 is crazym
Ответитьand after living thru the inline japanese era of the late 70s and 80s, i am loving my 09 ducati 1198s! only inline 4 i woud love to have is an r1 crossplane!
Ответитьmore easier ????
ОтветитьI always wanted a inline 4 sports bike(R6) when I passed my test 3 years ago, my dream was shattered when I sat on one, so I brought a street triple 675 more comfy and sounds brilliant.
ОтветитьI have a Z900RS with an inline 4 I think it's a great motor.
ОтветитьZx6r cannot be nuked. Too perfect.
ОтветитьSports bikes are on the verge of death in the UK now. High insurance premiums, fuel costs, speed restrictions/cameras and busy crap condition roads have made them unusable. Sad, but the truth.
ОтветитьJust picked up a used ninja 636. Love it.
ОтветитьI mean, all internal combustion motors are going extinct. Idk if inline 4’s will be first to go, but supersports definitely will. My two streetbikes, a ZRX1200, and a 2019 katana (gsxs1000). On paper they’re almost identical, naked 4cyl 1k’s. But the kat has a typical modern rev happy motor that is a floppy wiener until 6k rpm when it becomes erect. But the ZRX is tuned for neck snapping torque off idle. It makes 80% of its 90ft pounds before 3,000 rpm. As much as I love my katana, the zrx is more fun to ride when I’m bebopping around town, racing light to light. My main point is that they have the formula for inline 4cyl torque monsters that don’t need to be wrung out to redline to have fun, but will still cut a 10 second quarter mile
ОтветитьHumans are stupid, lately their stupidity has peaked thanks to social media, but don't worry soon they will get bored of nostalgia and then return back to the Inline 4 supremacy, after all they are the best sounding engines
ОтветитьI was an inline guy for a long time until I bought my Mt09. Hard to go back after that. I am just waiting for the R9 to come out and I feel it will be the perfect street bike.
ОтветитьAnd Kawa just registered a new series of VIN for an inline 4 400cc sport bike.
ОтветитьYammie is genetically wired to hate on Kawasaki owners because his first bike was an r3…I’m extremely biased and absolutely love kawasakis bc I started out on a ninja 400
ОтветитьAnd then there’s Kawasaki bringing back the Ninja ZX25R four cylinder! 😍 apparently there’s rumours of a ZX4R 400cc four cylinder too
ОтветитьLucky that in asia we still have brand new inline 4 the kawasaki zx25r
ОтветитьI'm good. I have 3 inclined 4s with no plans to sell them.
ОтветитьInteresting thoughts, the 4 will be here for a long time, retro bikes people are turning to because they can identify what it is, most of todays sport bikes all look similar, no distinction. People want to get back and have just plain ole fun, not the fastest or full of tech. Old school...
Ответить
