How to Connect Focusrite Interfaces and MIDI Devices to iPads and iPhones

but how can I achieve midi AND audio over usb? I got the apple camera adapter, an usb dac, my usb midi controller and a usb hub. if I connect my midi keyboard it works fine. If I connect my usb dac it works fine. but both together won't work at all. i'm powering the camera adapter with 3A. should be plenty enough. Do I rlly need to buy an audio interface with midi? that sucks..

Does your focusrite need phantom power?

You meant the Focusrite OR a MIDI. You did not plug them both in.

I have connected the usb camera adapter to Iphone 11 via lighting’s port and to the fousrite 2i2 via USB. To power it I am using iphone original fast charging adapter and powering it to through the lightning port of the Camera adapter. All i am getting is clicking sound with blinking power light on focusrite. Can anyone help ??

Hope I got that right! Have you experimented as to whether an iPad can USB power a Focusrite, without a powered USB hub?
