Did you ever notice how you mainly like games that would have been big when you were a kid?

Fun fact: this game is 20 years old!

Maybe my game was glitched, but koopa could only get green shells and paratroopa could only get red. Did anyone else notice this?

Fun Fact: on the fire emblem section of the mario kart bonus disc, there is an appearance from a woman named elimine. She is a pivotal character in the backstory of the blazing blade, but before she was added to fire emblem heroes this disc was her first and only physical appearance.

I've been thinking about buying Double Dash for some time now and since the 20th anniversary is right around the corner I think I'll buy it over the summer. Thanks for helping dude

I hope the next Mario Kart game has a Doubles mode that has the two characters per kart gimmick. It would be so fun!

I think Double Dash!! and MKDS are the only old Mario Kart games still worth going back to for reasons beyond nostalgia, history, and completionism. They both have really unique features to make them still worth going back to: MKDS for Mission Mode, and Double Dash!! for the unique gameplay. Like, I own every single Mario Kart game, but 9 times out of 10, when I have friends or family over and we decide to play some Mario Kart together, we play Double Dash!! even though we grew up playing MK64. That it can trump that nostalgia speaks volumes. And it has aged so well, too!

Double dash is my very favorite mario kart but I'm bias since this is the one I grew up with. Also I struggle with drifting on Mario kart 8 deluxe because I'm so used to double dash.

Peaty piranha and king boo to me don’t seem that random since king boo was the main villain in Luigi’s mansion and peaty piranha was in Mario sunshine

I feel like they really missed out by not including "extra" cups like in Super Circuit. Basically, have all of the tracks from MK64 that you can unlock and play.

I don’t get why people are so hard on super circuit, they were very limited with a game boy advance for a large Mario kart game with 40 tracks, and it’s really fun imo

I remember playing this game with my sister, I was the driver and she was the item thrower.

She could snipe with Green Shells Man! There was also a mechanic that if the back player Hit a bumper they’d punch sideways. So she use to punch CPU’s and steal their items.

Also if we almost fell off the edge she’s punch sideways and save us. Teamwork at it’s finest!

This may have dual racers but next game has dual screens

I've got everything needed to play this on two screens with 8 players. My favourite time was when I brought it to a party where there was a huge white wall and two projectors. Each projector had 4 player split screen but each player had their own ~65" screen to play on! It was a blast!

This is still my Fav mario kart game

If Daisy's at a party, I'm going regardless of other attendees.

I loved this game growring, literally my favorite Mariokart. My buddies & I only played co-op races.
