ОтветитьMan you are awesome, thank you for this course!
ОтветитьOwnership in Rust is like castration in order to avoid pregnancy.
ОтветитьYou are awesome.
ОтветитьThe keyboard noise is so annoying.
ОтветитьLittle over an hour in, and I just keeping thinking "This is C syntax, but sh!ttier"
let x: u32 = 5; Why not a more 'fluid syntax? Do we even need 'let'?
u32: x = 5;
But when I found out what a unit type was, I realised that some of this is a case of "different for the sake of being different" ... NULL is a great concept. Void is a great concept. But Unit is a word that means something else entirely and it's only possible excuse for being here in Rust, is to distinguish it from C/Java languages. Seems childish : /
I'm sure as I go on I'll find a number of things that Rust does way better than C/C++ ... but the syntax isn't showing much promise. Just like Python, who's insistence on avoiding curly braces, left us with critical whitespace formatting that hadn't been needed since COBOL
Why do we keep insisting on quirky? It ain't cute... it's usually just annoying.
I too was fascinated by binary. I studied electronic engineering, and today plan to use Rust on AVR's instead of C.
ОтветитьStarting it today😁 coming back to this soon
