Maybe do gen 3 but just not as an occult? You could work around it and be creative but still realistic. The storyline really makes sense right now and if you skip a gen it won't anymore.

If you want to try gen 3 since you never play with occults you could always make sure your gen 4 is human so you don’t have to keep having random occults to deal with in the other generations. To make it more interesting you can pick a new skill other than pipe organ bc that sounds boring. 😂 You can make sims humans easily with mcc I believe for gen 4.

Try doing gen 3. Honestly, to me, it makes sense to do all the generations because it wouldn't make sense if you skipped some

Okay with Gen 3 I took certain things from that gen and mixed it up with gen 4. I could link my own doc for you so it makes sense for your story. I was not happy with playing occults I hate them

I know you are having a hard time playin vamps. Just an idea to start out with it and only make it that gen. You Can have Ginger grow the ingredients to make the drink that cures her child.
