Thief next please?
Ответитьdrop the illriger video, plsss
ОтветитьThe stolen quote from Jocat is chefs kiss, those who know know
ОтветитьGreat video man, I love Inquisitive Rogues want to play one in my next game
ОтветитьGot to do the illriger now
ОтветитьDid you hear about the ghoul's new daytime talk show?
It's called Phantom of the Oprah
This rogue makes me want to take observant just so my DM has to make a Dex save to jump out the nearest 10 story window whenever I get a investigation check
ОтветитьLove this subclass so much. Great in combat and great for role playing. One of my favorite that I've played.
ОтветитьMy guy this with shadow monk equals batman
ОтветитьSweet jiminy billibo billy bob, thatsa tasty subclass
Ответитьthank you for this
ОтветитьHi
Ответитьmy trench-coat budget is none of your concern
ОтветитьHuh… this seems very familiar. I wonder if I’ve had any players play this subclass in my games….
JK. So cool to see you cover this! Your inquisitor was such a cool character and I look forward to seeing him again.
You cannot spell Discombobulate without spelling Disco so multiclass bard
ОтветитьInquisitive rogue/gloom stalker multiclass= Batman
ОтветитьI'm gonna be playing a changeling inquisitive who was the host of a brothel so hes a major smoothtalker as well as a sleuth. It's gonna be fun
ОтветитьDiscombobulate
ОтветитьAbsolutely, the Batman build is inquisitor plus battle master with the thrown weapon fighting style and the fighter initiate feat for the unarmed fighting style.
Ответить...... discombobulate
ОтветитьIf you've never seen Murder by Death, would recommend. 1970's spoof on the detectives dinner. But pulls together all the stereotypes.
ОтветитьSo, I can basically recreate John Blacksad in a D&D setting, a la a hard-boiled and successful private detective that can be two parts cynical and harsh, but is dedicated to justice and has a good heart?
No, really. 'Red Soul', 'A Silent Hell', and 'Amarillo' are some mighty fine good reads.
This was actually the first character I fully made in Dungeons & Dragons. However , the campaign fell apart before it could even begin, The idea was a former thief who now has to work on the opposite side of the law to figure out who Set him up when a job went wrong
ОтветитьIm currently playing an inquisitive rogue in my game which is a dnd version of sao, and my character is a college student studying criminal justice
ОтветитьI did a knowledge domain cleric/inquisitive rogue because almost everyone else in my party had their wisdom and intelligence being quite low. And I helped solve alot of the mysterious stuff hiding through the campaign and found some hidden knowledge.
ОтветитьThe Pallid elf walked in, and looked at his dice roll..
ОтветитьI've always liked the flavor of the inquisitive, and it WAS a staple in Eberron, but its application in most games is pretty meh. It gives DMs a tough challenge to leave clues that only the inquisitive can decipher that won't alienate the other players. We had one in our long-running, low-magic campaign, and she could get 25+ in all her perception, insight, and investigation checks. But that didn't help her in combat. Insightful fighting is the only dedicated combat ability the inquisitive gets, and it has its flaws. It takes your bonus action and while it lasts for a minute, your enemy probably won't. So you have to keep using your bonus action to set up again and again. And if you're fighting in a group, you won't need insightful since you'll be attacking a target your companion is. I wonder if it's better with the new 2024 rogue.
ОтветитьA re-flavoring for inquisitive rouges in non mystery campaigns would be a conspiracy theorist. Granted it can go to tin hat loon really quickly, but the seeing connections/ looking for the truth/"TRUTH" really does fit.
ОтветитьI just love playing the “Detective” character.
🕵️♂️🕵️♀️🕵️🕵️♂️🕵️♀️🕵️🕵️♂️🕵️♀️🕵️🕵️♂️🕵️♀️🕵️🕵️♂️🕵️♀️
Personally, I’d rather play a “Monster Slayer” Ranger with the “Investigator” background.
The moment i saw Sherlock Holmes i knew "Discombobulate" sneak attack was gonna be a thing
ОтветитьLove this class
Ответитьso.. pallid elf inquisitive rogue.. is that overdoing it? Once again Ymbadnd your vids are gold! Thank you!
ОтветитьI was just talking about Columbo with my co-workers today. I am done watching tv. YMBA your vids are quality and funny as hell. Each one just nails it. The RDJ repeat i almost spit my mt dew out.
And the way this rogue pulls out the back stab is so ingenious!
This works perfect for my Astral Elf rogue who's a detective in an Spelljammer campaign
ОтветитьInquisitive Rogue and Doom Stalker Ranger go together like gin and tonic.
ОтветитьEberon Inquisitive novels were Fun. Twin crossbow Inquisitives rogues fun for that sneak attack
ОтветитьI want to run an Inquisitive Quasit who's hired by various devils to spy on their Warlocks 🤣
ОтветитьWasn't this called a mastermind for a while?
ОтветитьI’m playing a kobold with expertise in insight and a passive insight of 20. There has so far not been a npc that has been able to lie to me. I am a living lie detector and my dm hates it
ОтветитьI thought I might be an inquisitive but i couldn't be bothered to find out.
ОтветитьNow we need Mastermind to have the Inquisitive's rival. Or it's better?
ОтветитьThis, a few levels of Way of the Shadow Monk, and at least the Superiority Fighting Style if you can't squeeze in some Battle Master Fighter and we are roughly 85% percent of the way to being Batman. All you'll need is the Noble background for the money and connections and two dead parents.
ОтветитьShout out to Murph from D20 and NADPOD. This is a angry shout out, because he played an Inquisitive to level like 10, and then changed his subclass. He had not invested in his wisdom nor taken proficiency in insight, which means he wasn't using any of the subclass features, and because the next feature was at level 9, he didn't get to have a fun experience. I love Riz Gukgak, but goddamit Murph, Inquisitive is good you just actually have to play the subclass.
ОтветитьMe playing as Nick Valentine
ОтветитьNot optimal, but this is absolutely my favorite rogue.
Expertise in insight, perception, investigation and thieves' tools is awesome.
A dip into monk synergizes extremely well since the heavy investment into wisdom really boosts your AC
Tex Murphy
Ответитьgreat timing, I literally just made an inquisitive rouge character for a friend's campaign !
ОтветитьThe reason why all thieve's guilds use the same Cant is because one rogue a long time ago took the linguist feat and no one ever did again after that, but that one rogue shared their code with their guild....and it was promptly stolen by the other guilds.
ОтветитьI’m playing a literal inquisitor that hunts down mostly far creatures and multiclassed into 1 level of ranger specifically for the favored enemy+terrain. It’s perfect.
