1) This is interesting
2) This guy's voice is extremely soothing
3) Disregard the moronic children in the comments who were looking for a way to hack their way around a test instead of just learning the material

You cannot mark 6 legs" as a wrong answer. It is a fact that all spiders have 6 legs. In fact, the arachnid characteristics is 8 legs, but that means they do have 6 legs.

The question does not say only 6 legs...

sorry but multiple choice tests are there to confuse you and not test your knowledge.

Multiple choice is only good for professors, making it easy to correct. Bad for students.

Sounds a great test taking system, but frankly speaking,  I  do not like multiple choice questions as a formative assessment tool although any test has pros and cons. Especially, in a  university setting, multiple choice questions always sound odd to me.

What about subset marking (3, -1, -1, -1) but recording any negative mark as 0. That is selects 2 wrong answers they get 0 not -2. These would skew the partial marks upwards and would be well received by students? I wonder if this have been modelled, used, and/or published?

I think multiple choice question are wrong by nature. The text gives you the answer in front of your eyes and you just have to recognize it, but not thinking an your own. Thinking is the key of learning not recognize pre-made answers

Great test taking system, although, the only problem is that next to no teachers are going to use it because they fell hopelessly in love with the traditional exam.

i think negative marking must not be included i this perspective that somehow lead to unjust so better to move to positivity that can be a better choice for test aims.

This is very helpful, at least it gives you another chance to get your
answer in multiple choice question right, better than traditional
multiple choice question which one-way answer.
