Monthly payouts are a marketing gimmick mostly to give retirees who can't manage their finances a monthly check or payout.. IF you are going to hold these for years and reinvest the dividends for max total return, then the payout period doesn't matter.. what might matter is the volatility of each etf, which gives one pause and heartburn compared to the overall market , and may cause panic to sell at a loss..
Portfolio Visualizer will compare any two funds total return for free on their site..

i’ve got a couple of good ETFs in my portfolio and I still got other share holdings doing incredible numbers. I’m up 67% last year now also well positioned with good blue chip companies and I have stop losses in place, Personally with insights from my FA Emily Lois Parker I prefer to invest in large cap companies which have economic moats, large cash flows and strong balance sheets.

I don't see QQQ in there. I've been deep into high yield dividend investing for the past 2 years and reinvesting all of the dividends. I understand that I bought at the top of the market in 2022 but from my experience and from this video it's so much less work and less stress to just buy SPY.

The US economy is almost certainly in a recession. Stocks are way over their skis, like PE ratios are incredibly high. I expect this house of cards to plummet more than during the GFC. My question is, how will dividend stocks react in a severe recession and stock market crash? Thanks.

Thank you for this. My Mom is needing help with her IRA and I've focused on growth because I'm still working and am just now learning about dividend paying options and this comparison really helps.

Great video. Thanks for including the S&P as a reference. Wow, nobody could beat the S&P. DGRW was close 2nd.

So, 100% of these underperformed SPY? So, invest in the SPY and forget about the other stuff?

As much as I prefer monthly compounding to quarterly, investing it top performing ETFs and selling covered calls seems to be a better way to beat the s&p 500

For January 2024 I would only invest in Div ETFs that have portfolio P/E average under 17. Too big a risk of the stock price going down or staying stagnant for higher P/E etfs. The SP500 will probably smoke 90% of these ETFs in next few years. Good time to look at Intl Div ETFs like SCHY with low P/E ratios under 14.
