ОтветитьI loved all the pieces in the living room for different reasons. 😊. I remember those ashtrays and books under the sofa. So cute and I cannot wait to see more of your channel! Subscribed and liked 😮😊
Ответить💛💛💛 ... the sofa
ОтветитьThis adventure has been so much fun and educational. I hope you watch Kit and Caboodle on You Tube. You would fall in love. I could write a book on your talents already. Watching in Oklahoma, Barb
ОтветитьHave just subscribed. Love hearing the story you are telling of the history created in the house. Thank you for your time.
ОтветитьYou didn't think you could get away with mentioning a dollhouse tour video, and me not run right over here to see, did you? Such a fantastic room. And the book-sofa leg isn't just from back in the day, I saw the same thing at a thrift store just a few months ago....lol. Got a kick out of it then, but absolutely love it here! <3 Such a great detail! Your chair turned out much better than mine, your edging actually looks like piping...mine looks like crisis management. :P Love it, now off to go see the rest of the house. Beannachd leibh!! (Take care)
ОтветитьThe doilies on the backs of the chair are spot on. Really gave the old fashioned feel. Also I love how you made the pillow look "lived in". But ... is that framed photo above the display case of the twin girls from the Shining??! 🤨
ОтветитьI love the ashtray - most people use to smoke! I bought a pack of Camels and some loose cigarettes to go on the bar in my MCM living room. haha
ОтветитьHi, just discovered your channel last night and now I am a subscriber! Loved your video! My miniature journey was inspired by a series of books about the family of Littles I read as a child. As a young adult I discovered the miniature hobby and had to build my own dollhouse, which was built from a dollhouse plan book, I think the house was The Americana. Anyway, I built the structure, wired it with working lights and installed working doors and windows and enjoyed making miniatures for the house. As a result of needing to move after a divorce, I was unable to bring the dollhouse so I gifted it to my husband's sister who had a young daughter and they loved it. Later in life, I needlepointed a plastic canvas Barbie house from a pattern book, and although it was done with acrylic yarn, my future stepdaughter loved it and played with it. I bought a toy parrot in a cage (Barbie accesory) for the house and there was a name tag for the parrot on the cage. After storing the house away once my stepdaughter was done playing with the house we unpacked it when she had her own daughter. Later we had to repack it and by that time we had a real parrot of our own, an African Grey, that we had named 'Stormy'. Years later as we had to unpack that Barbie house and I found that little bird cage and I was blown away when I saw that my stepdaughter had written the name she had given the toy parrot, Stormy! Sorry for the long story! Eager to watch more videos!
ОтветитьWhat a cute bird and stand, love the furniture, everything is beautiful.
ОтветитьSo creative! Love what you have done ,put your life and desires in the house. Love the doggy and bird. Makes it homey. What do you think about adding some color by putting a crochet throw of many colored squares like my grandmother made for me on the sofa? You are doing great.
ОтветитьJolene I just lived this video so much! I enjoyed hearing about your journey and inspirations. My house also has a story and history. This really fuels my creativity. I am astounded by all the beautiful things you've created in this room. I love ALL the furniture. One of my favorite tiny details is the picture of the house on the wall. I like to do this with my dolls, have their portraits on the walls. The Christmas Story lamp, no need to say a thing. ❤ LOVE. This is a fave in our house and of course we know it by heart. What a beautiful channel you have 🥰😍✨
ОтветитьLoved watching this and the stories and history behind each of the items. Thank you for sharing. 😊
ОтветитьI love backstories to dollhouses so much. The 1st Josephine house video I saw, I was hooked ❤
ОтветитьThis was just wonderful Jolene! You really took me on a journey and I loved every minute of it. That was one lucky little girl you gave the Victorian house to, hopefully it will only be the beginning of her life long miniature obsession
ОтветитьI'm also working on a 1930's farmhouse so this was great to watch. Love the couch!!!
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьLove your old worn car its awesome
ОтветитьLove it all!
ОтветитьYou arent kidding about the hoarding element! My other half has been itching to throw out my stuff for a long time and doesn't understand that among the stuff he considers "trash" is a lot of art supplies, foam board, extruded Polystyrene, Matboard, but he sees the cardboard cereal boxes (which I try to only keep those for short periods around the project in which they are needed). Its like Gretchens pile of "what you keeping THAT for?", organised chaos in my mind, landfill in his lmao!
The ashtrays made by yourself and Shyra are incredible, they bring so much reality to a scene, especially a vintage scene before smoking was discouraged as much. In the 1930s they were probably still saying that smoking had health benefits. It was a whole different era and bringing things, like ashtrays, that were commonly seen, puts your work on a whole different, and convincing, level❤
Very nice home.
