Russian and Ukrainian are my first languages, but over the years when I moved to Canada my mother tongue was slowly forgotten and replaced by English, and I only understood Russian, I didn't know how to speak it, but these videos have helped me a lot to relearn my first language.

How to learn loooong words?

Iv just started to learn russian & i just cant memorise any of those words or phrases but i need to hear spoken language . So i just let the sound wash over me & hopefully it will give me a feeling for the language . Thank you .

Just started Duolingo. It's good to get used to the letters and get used to some sounds. Honestly I had to - and recommend - watching
this at .5x speed. I can almost understand the words and keep up with the subtitles. I guess if I keep this up until the end of the year some (or so I hope) progress must be made.

Videos with family conversations would be great, than we could se how a russian family talk to their children about house rules or schooling and more.
That would be great since it will be helpful in the process to follow a russian movie, since russians talk pretty fast.

because once you already know how to read and know the basics of a language, for me this is the fastest way to learn! too bad there's no short tv shows like that tho. they all only have, either... english subs only or russian subs only. making it twice as hard to learn cuz it takes longer when you have to go find the meaning of the words you don't know yet. but with videos like your videos, it's easier! cuz the translation is right there!
and I know that one day I won't need no subtitles at all.! all thanks to you guys!
