Classic broadcast. So killer!
ОтветитьI didn't know Jerry was for ads interrupting him every 6 minutes What would he have to tell you about the Ads? I think we already know
I find it very difficult to understand why anyone putting his l out legacy.Would allow for such B S. You know what I'm saying!
This show has more ADS THen Bobby has FLASHBACKS!
Ответитьno way ,,COMERICALS IN TH MIDDLE OF A JAM ,,WTF
ОтветитьThanks for posting this gem!
Btw, my approximately 40 year old cassette of this show says "West Germany" which is technically correct. 🙃
I watched this in my southern German hometown as a young boy under the bed cover with my little black and white TV turned really low so that my parents wouldn’t catch me…..school next day…
ОтветитьJerry nailed Wharf Rat on here
ОтветитьAds every two minutes for a three hour concert, smh
ОтветитьThe best Althea EVER!!
ОтветитьI was Seventeen and lost in prison Country East germany. This evening was Hope!
ОтветитьWhat a great Althea! What a great gift, Christopher. ❤❤❤ thank you.
ОтветитьGreat job. Thanks 🙏 😊
ОтветитьYou are the man bro! This so fucking great
ОтветитьThis is amazing you got my $$$$
ОтветитьThe Karamazov's had a great routine of juggling audience provided "items". It was hilarious...a huge pizza in a box, a large fish, one of those giant fold out maps, giant phone books; you name it, they had to juggle them. Those who knew, brought impossibly awkward items.
ОтветитьThese guys still had their moments in 1981, even with the new guy on keyboards. Thanks for this.
ОтветитьBilly was being The Who!😊
ОтветитьThanks, Chris. Incredible.
Ответитьawesome, saw it on TV back then. We ran out of herb that night and I overslept half of the show. 😅 But I’d taped it on video at least for later use😄 In 1990 I saw two shows of them in Berlin and it was absolutely mind blowing 🎊 🎉 pure magic
ОтветитьLove this. Wish more 79-82 footage existed. Early Brentful Dead is my fav
ОтветитьPhil on an Irwin bass? Interesting!!!
Ответитьdie music super! die lysercsäure leider nicht
ОтветитьThis is tremendous.
ОтветитьThank you Chris, im a new deadhead of 5 years now, absolutely love it
ОтветитьThank you as always. A kind Redditor suggested this show. Love what you do.
ОтветитьJerry’s guitar playing in 1981 was 🔥
ОтветитьGreat show😊
ОтветитьThe ad breaks need to be between the songs... Killing thr vibe...
ОтветитьRemember staying up late to see this on German TV. This cemented my appreciation of the band. Thanks for the effort!! BTW, the Rockpalast camera team was the only one in Germany for a very long time who knew how to record a concert. See the many close-ups of Jerry's playing. Phil comes out nicely in the audio mix. Bob is sometimes a bit mute.
Ответитьgarcia and townsend.....2 birds of a feather for sure :)
ОтветитьDam, the boys are smokin that Shakedown Street!
ОтветитьIn response to mr Cohen's comments 3 months ago I am currently doing my best part albeit I do not have the video on a large screen I live across from Independence Park look for the steal your face stained glass in the window signing out DJ Denny
ОтветитьThis is a fantastic find! Thanks for all your efforts.
ОтветитьThe can of Finger Ease visible pre-Althea reminds me that Jerry used to only get 9 cans instead of 10 in a batch. 🙂
ОтветитьJerry was 38 here. Thirty eight.
ОтветитьThx much for that - could watch it every day :-)
ОтветитьI’ve seen 30+ live before Jerry passed and that was the best Drums I’ve ever seen. Keep watching it over and over each time. No fast forwarding.
ОтветитьWhat an absolute treat. Thanks for the work you do and for sharing with the fans. Just incredible!
ОтветитьIncredible! Thanks yet again 🤟
ОтветитьMy favorite shakedown Jerry literally rips
ОтветитьThis is incredible, Chris! Just incredible. The sound, the picture, the color! We owe you BIG TIME FOR THIS!
ОтветитьAds really have got to go. This is a recording of THE Best Althea, ever and you, *ssholes have to interrupt Jerry with a f*cking ad. The Grateful Dead is not meant to be cut up or tampered with in any way. You do not know better, you f*cked it up.
ОтветитьBack in the tape trading days, there were very few video bootlegs, like only a small handful. Besides Sunshine Daydream, the two I remember are this one and Duke '78. I never imagined that such a high quality video would be possible. I remember discussing videos with my tape trading friends and we all knew there were tons of videos in the vault or that people were not putting them into wide circulation. We are living in a glorious Grateful Dead era where so many videos are now available to the masses. Thank you Christopher for all you do to add to the community.
Ответить🤟🏼✌🏻❤️
