Why do you pretend that you don’t have tax free interest??? It does impact SSN taxation! Why do a sample calculation but ignore certain items even though it’s part of the tax computation 😳😳😳?

I'm a little shocked by this because I followed your instructions and created a spreadsheet and it seems to say that if my SS benefit is $20k then I start getting taxed if my other income is even one dollar over $15000 ? And it gets increasingly worse if your SS benefit is larger. Considering that many seniors get hit with large, unexpected, capital gain distributions from mutual funds this seems rather brutal.

It would have been nice if you had shown how to create excel spread sheet using excel functions in it , would have been extremely helpful to students and others

Awesome video I make under 25k so my social security isn't taxed but I have a voluntarily tax withheld i filed a form w4-v it's like $600 a yr so do I put that in line 6b as taxable income? Or later under #25 under federal income tax withheld forms 1099 in my 1040 ? I have pension and social security, so I have to file its over state yearly threshold.trying to figure out where to put this so I get credit for it. Please help me out with this ty .

Thanks so much my friend,for 40 working years I did my own taxes,never a problem,a W2 and form 1040 and we were done,now in retirement you get this almost laughable form to figure out how much the cheapskates' want from your Social Security Best Regards and thanks again
