I remember when I was a kid I wasn't allowed to play my gameboy before school and my playthrough had the time messed up (mashing A at the start of the game set the time to 10 am on a sunday) so when I WAS allowed to play my gameboy it was always daytime and I desperately wanted an Umbreon. I had cloned my Eevee that was about to evolve and I got an Espeon and it took me weeks to finally be able to turn my gameboy on for 5 minutes before school while it was still nighttime and be able to level up my Eevee into an Umbreon. I never knew about the clock reset trick until I was well into my 20's and by that point IT DIDN'T FUCKING MATTER ANYMORE BECAUSE THAT UMBREON IS DEAD! Probably. Idk what happened to the game.

I got my Scizor in 3 Days by stealing a metal coat from a magnamite And yes it is possible to have a Scizor know both Metal claw and wing attack both at lv 30.

and instead of grinding magnemite, i'd just do the item duplication glitch

It’s interesting that you say that about the roaming legends, but Tip on that, if you enter a gate that’s between a city & a route, then they will not move to another route.

For the Legendary Beasts, you don't need to fly. Anytime you change a route, it changes its location. Try one route, if it doesn't work walk towards the other route, and if it doesn't work... just walk back to the other route. Walk in circle, using repels, and you'll quickly get them.

of course there's a slightly faster way to build these items up... you get them once and do the save cloning method. I have a team of hoppip for this purpose

ther's a way better way to get the beast is to fly to the pokemon center before union cave again and again untill the beast is on the same road, this is the only pokemon centre in a place where you can catch pokemon in grass, so just use fly untill the legendary is in the srme road and then go in the grass

To raise the friend meter if you already beat the game you could go and get all the items like carbos, protein etc and give the Pokémon you want to evolve ten of each. After like 1 or two level ups it should evolve. This is how I use to get umbreon.

The damn items themselves don't matter if you have nobody to trade with - which was most people's issue with getting these Pokemon.

Also interesting to mention the level 50 magikarp you can catch at the lake of rage with repels on ;)

i also was shocked to learn i can get Pupitar in the wild, when i did my catch everything on each route
to see how far i could complete without evolving besides team members from wild encounters

Something interesting about Johto... Pokémon's mascot Pikachu is not native to Johto. You can only find him in the Johto-based games in Kanto's Viridian Forest. The only other gen to share this fact (Pikachu not appearing in the main region) is Gen 5. There, he needs to be transferred or recieved from an event which consequently makes the Light Ball Event-Only as Items can't be transferred from Gen 4.

fun fact: the "dogs" as you called them are actually cats and their official title is legendary beasts.

Everytime u change a route the wild pok like raikun alway going to move away and if u dont catch him when the first time is mega pain to try ti find him a sec time

If your rich buy iron and carbos medicines and max out it’s ivs with it until he can’t take anymore. This always works for any pokemon you want to evolve with friendship keep in mind the other medicines like need to be max as well not just iron and carbos. I’ve never tried the X items though. That’s new to me

Am I the only one who stepped into a route, checked the beast's location on the pokedex, and then get out and in again? It was waaaay faster.

An extra game boy, Pokémon game and a link cable should run you $150. Is that a fair price just to be able to use scizor? Not at all, no. But have I done it anyway? Why don’t you ask my Steelix?

Regarding friendship: newborn Pokémon always have 120 points so, by capturing a Ditto and breed with Eevee you can get both Espeon and Umbreon before level 16 with any of the said methods. The same applies to Chansey.
