I remember being so happy when I bought this in '74 when I was ten. Played it over and over. Six years later, when they were all but done, I witnessed the greatest comeback of any band ever at Reading.
We had the best music. Slade never became corrupted (though they tried) by the US. A memory of English perfection, unsullied by America. The dog's bollocks.

When my son was born and I cut the cord I was photographed wearing my slade t-shirt.

Noddy's voice always reminded me of John Lennon.

Noddy delivered a song better than the beatles.If slade came before the beatles we be putting them as high as it gets.Fickle society in some ways but its an emotion at the time.Noddy is still the best rock singer ever.Its just another level

OH my GOD i was twelve when Slade released this classic, im now 61, and still enjoying it.

Jimmy Lea great bass player in the same way Ringo is a great drummer - not doing anything that any other bassist wouldn’t be capable of copying but having the singular ability to add what is completely correct for the song.

I love Slade in Flame. Always have done, always will do.
