It's wild to see Tate known for her music now. I used to compete against her at dance competitions, then saw her on So You Think You Can Dance, so it's weird to see people only know her for her music but I love it

I know a lot of people have been saying that Tate just came out of nowhere but…..she’s actually a very talented dancer. She danced for Justin Bieber on his Purpose Tour, she was a brand ambassador for a popular dance wear company “Capezio.” In the competitive dance world, there’s a major competition called The Dance Awards, and Tate actually won it 3 times….once in 2013 for Mini Best Female Dancer, again in 2015 for Best Female Dancer, and then a third time in 2018 for Best Female Dancer. She also danced for Demi Lovato at the American Music Awards in 2017, and was given a scholarship at the Berlin State Company for winning a silver medal for her solo and a bronze medal at the Youth Grand Prix (a huge ballet competition.) As for singing, Tate was always an amazing singer but….the pandemic helped her grow more as a singer because she was able to work more on her craft.

I honestly think she should stay to a certain genre or concept like guts by Olivia has those Disney type songs and the rock bangers while this is kind of all over the place.

she does have a background in dance, she was on So You Think You Can Dance? and got to top three. I love this album, i love everything she did, but this tops it all. I love the hockey gear thing, and the run for the hills mv is amazing.

You should watch some of her recent live performances !!! She’s giving everything with the dancing!!! Also her ex boyfriend was a hockey player ;)

Tate was training to be a dancer. If I recalled correctly she was in national dancing team. Then she uploaded “One Day”, the song was just her and her piano. It blew up on Spotify (that’s where I first knew her) and she started her music career. That’s why her performances always include really amazing dancing.

Honestly from my perspective on the song “Plastic Palm Trees” i got the feeling that it was about dreaming of success and glamorizing fame. and when she finally got there, as she said “oh what an underwhelming view” as if, her expectations let her down. 🥺
