doesn't this mean that the field has mass then, if it can act on the boson to slow it down?!

So what you're telling me is the higgs boson is like a wiggle in the field..... How is the wiggle created is it because there are different liquid smoke energies inside different fields....
That act like ghost
Basically what would happen is the electron would act like a ghost the higgs boson would pass through it and interact with it giving the electron a stronger pull so it can pull other fields

@ApplePotato
@ApplePotato - 05.04.2024 22:49

Not a physicist here so I might be super confused. Einstein said E = mc^2. Mass can be converted to energy and vice versa. Does that mean the Higgs Field is somehow providing energy to the massless particles to create mass?

that means how much matter a thing has does not influence its weight rather the interaction with the higgs field does?
