Sir please tell me,which one best device, nesx smart rtl sdr/rtl sdr..? And which one use frequency for the mobile conversation lestoning uhf or vhf?

RF analyzer not available in Android play store

I've been wondering if this idea was practical, and you answered all my questions. I hit your link for some of the gear I needed, but it looks like the RF Analyzer is no longer available. Do you have a different choice in it's place?

These dongles like the ver 5 from noelectric ( made in USA and Canada - go Maple Leafs) are only about $45 with a small antenna. Note that and aligator clip lead hooked end to a curttain by your desk will greatly help reception. The Noelectric item above will do a fair job on HF but and extra upconverter they sell will be even better- it goes between an hf antenna and the main dongle. I jist did this and will use it while recouperating in bed. Great for camping , lonely motel rooms, etc.

I just purchased the rtf sdr dongle and cable to do this setup on my cell phone. On another video the author warned that the dongle got very hot and cut his battery life in half while in use. Have you had this issue? Thanks and great video!

Hi All. Just stumbled on this and the Google Play store is saying that the RF Analyzer App is not available for my devices. I'm running a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra on Android 13. Does this app not support newer versions on Android? I'm in California, it wouldn't have anything to do with my region would it? Can anyone recommend an alternative, or a safe source to side load from?

RF Analyzer won't install on my S22, is Spectroid a good alternative?

You know what.. that's good to know. I like your idea. That's will save me lots of money from buying different radios to do all that. I guess just for them parts your showing me it's about $100 for antenna and the donggo USB and USB to type c and I will add a type c to Micro adapter to fit any phone or tablet. Hi Tom. I'm a total tech-tard. Installing the drivers onto my PC 💻 looked like something I'd stuff up lol. I watched the SmokingApe video but I just know I'd bungle it & muck up my USB drives. But this is totally do-able for me!!!!

I started using an SDR dongles a few years back on my PC but never thought about putting it on my mobile. I figured that it would not have the horsepower, maybe so a few years back I don't know, however thankyou I will have fun doing this and saving money on a handheld airband I was thinking of buying. Excellent video. Subbed :)

The best parts of the NooElec are a metal case and a TCXO good to 0.5ppm accuracy. Cheaper than adding them yourself.

Does anyone know of a KINDERGARTEN version of this ??? I get an impression that one needs a degree to even start to understand this ! I've had nothing but radio for about 6 years now and am so far from the transmission source that reception is sketchy at best . Any help , appreciated .

Look at ADS-B if you haven’t already. Avare works. You don’t need to buy a specific antenna for it. Nooelec adsb antennas aren’t that great imho.

Theirs another dongle out there that does different frequencies. It good to search for new SDR dongles periodically.

Any way to recharge phone while using the SDR, I would suspect it would eat the battery pretty quickly!
