What Army Recruits Go Through At Boot Camp

I joined in 1993. From recruiter forward we were treated like worthless criminals. I got the impression we would be treated like shit for as long as were associated with the military. I never saw anyone with less than 10 years in ever get treated like a valuable person.

My DI' S in lenardWood, 1975 were Jones, Wills, Wilson, Robinson, Chewey, A 4 3 SSG Perdue Retird....

When did the Army start calling Basic Training, "boot camp" and when did drill sergeants start being nice halfway through basic training? And I don't care what anyone says, basic training was fun.

Unless they have changed it the Army does not Boot Camp they have Basic Combat Training (BCT). Boot Camp is a Marine Corps/Navy thing. The Army is the only US service that has Soldiers, Marines are Marines, Navy has Seamen, Air Force has Airmen. Know what you are talking about before start talking.

Both my little brothers are army vets. My youngest brother did his 4 years and my middle brother, who is currently a staff sergeant and is currently stationed in Georgia, is doing the full 20 years.

Basic/AIT, Jump School, Ranger indoctrination and Pre-Ranger. I damn near lived at Benning for many years.

I heard a story if you send your child sometbing in the fort, you have to send to everyone else as well in the same group. Someone sent her child candies and he has to eat them all by himself and vomits many yimes cause candies aren't healthy...

I took the asvab and physc exam. The physician said I passed it perfectly~. Only at the MEPS for the exam already was hellish for me. They already started to yell at you etc... the recruiter I work with said it is 100x worse in the fort
