Cause one day they won’t be around, can’t go to them for help. This line meant so much to me. The delivery seriously encapsulates that feeling of early adulthood where you feel lost and alone and constantly searching for advice and validation because of anxiety when in all reality most of it works out with time. For me it’s my parents or older coworkers that I constantly ask for help and advice from so scared to make mistakes, and this hit so hard remembering eventually I will have to trust my own intuition more than I currently do and should put it into practice before those people are no longer around.
