Oh protective gear is the most important thing to splurge on-- and to ensure you settle for nothing but a PERFECT fit on all items you invest in. Or more accurately said, you're investing in YOURSELF and the possible extension of your own lifespan. The amount of people I see zooming around on big road bikes in the summer time at high speed around English cities and motorways, wearing t-shirt, shorts, sneakers and NO HELMET is horrifying. And the most wince-inducing detail is that they are not only leaving knees and elbows exposed but-- wait for it-- no gloves either. I'm unsure what they believe will happen to them if they come off their bike at high speed on a main road but the term 'epic exfoliation' doesn't begin to cover it. Great shopping video. Love seeing bike part stores in Japan. One of my husband's happy places. 🏍🥰 PS= I recommend visiting a Kushitani store for an incredible pair of gloves to buy as a useful souvenir; supple leather wears in well, durable highest quality and not too expensive. It would be a great small yet critically important accessory every rider can bring back with them and won't take up much room in the ol' suitcase. (The rest of the room in the cases is reserved in advance for the missus's Don Quijote and Matsumoto Kiyoshi blowouts💰💰💰👛👜🧳 🛍🛄 😂).
