Pixel for life baby! No honestly I've tried switching... I ran into lots of similar small problems. I've had an android phone since the HTC G1 debuted on T-mobile. Every 5 years I try swapping to an iPhone, and I'm always left wanting vital features from my android. I feel like pixel is a good marriage between simpler iPhone and the wild customization side of android.

Imo, he should probably be an android user. iPhone is for people who want beautiful designs, functional ux, intuitive ui, robust camera performance, etc.

I'm on iPhone now I'm switching back and forth with Android. I miss the navigation on android,because it's more fluid and universal. i miss the customization,easily downloading free music,videos,games, mod apks, emulators andthe notification system on ios is years behind android. I switched to iphone because my samsung suddenly have line appeared and they don't want to repair it for free.

My mom thinks that she couldn't "keep up" without an IPhone.

I'm feeling like the dumbest user ever after discovering TODAY that I can spell the contact name with the number pad and that there is an easy way to schedule messages. Long ago I bought an iPod touch to experiment with the UI. It was not as practical as an iPod Classic for music and much behind of the easy and straightforward UI of Nokia phones with keypads. First Android phone in 2016, Moto G4 Play. I have friends that always had iPhones and many times I see them struggling with the UI.

The part of having to do more work to get simple things done on an iPhone is really relatable! For all things, iPhone is blazing fast, but it's just their idea of doing things with an extra steps that really put me off

If you use Siri to set your alarm which is quicker and easier anyway she will warn you if you accidentally set the wrong ok or am and offer to change it.

My friend did almost the same thing one month ago.

iPhone 4s->Android-> 15 pro. Will likely never get iPhone again. Not being able to separate pictures out of the recent album, not being able to delete ‘people places things ‘ album, not being able to tap text where you want to correct, keyboard lacks numbers or punctuation, won’t remember commonly used things like email address and the workaround (setting short cut ) isn’t great either. So many no brainer things done wrong I can’t believe people put up with.

I'll be honest, the one thing for me that has been a total godsend? The text scheduling thing. It's so useful to be able to send texts at appropriate hours. Like, I'm not going to text a friend at 2am with some quick question and risk ruining their sleep, they can answer in the morning, when it's appropriate. If I want to annoy them, I'll bombard them with reels from instagram

Also the lack of "coherence" with the back button, I never thought about that, but it makes a lot of sense. I use the gesture navigation of android (swiping basically, no back "button" anymore) and it's so seamless that is just works with EVERYTHING

On iPhone if you hold down the space key you can place it where you want it. I miss my Samsung sometimes but I’m completely on Apple ecosystem now. Glad you tried it though .
