Wow! Even I was there I had completely forgot about the all encompassing service that was done. You walked in for a wet shave, and instead got a nice little hair cleanup, shampoo, massage, shave and then styling. And let me not forget about mentioning that razor she used for the core part of the shave. I don't know whether that was some kind of shavette, or double edge razor, or what have you, but I've never seen that before in my life. I've yet to identify it, but it certainly was unique, along with the constant steam machine.

From 12 inch sheers in Vegas, to unidentified razors in Japan. No one showcases unique haircut experiences like you do, which is why I always watch. Kanpai (Cheers!) from Tokyo. -Marc

I have just started watching Harry’s channel and it’s great. I particularly like his visits to see Japanese barbers as they’re so serene. I am English so I struggle to understand the history between Japan and England but I believe that people are essentially good given the right conditions which means creating an environment whereby people don’t feel threatened and they are shown in a loving way that real beauty comes from within and radiates from a person like sunbeams.

Did they sell the place or what? When i look it up now it says the name is Sky Master Barber and there are four young (typical) japanese male "hair stylists" running the shop.

What exactly was the “Japanese technique” she referred to. I’m just curious. I literally just thought she was just rimming the sides which is pretty standard.

I don't know what it is but the start from entry and including shampoo is the most intense ASMR experience, the rest is great but that part I revisit on numerous occasions, even though the background noise is quite loud it just hits home, my No 1 ASMR fix 👍
