ОтветитьOk UK people what extract/emulsion did you use? I just made this with extract & it tasted super fake , I couldn't even taste the strawberry reduction.
ОтветитьThanks so much for your recipes, just a question please, after reading recipe instructions the only reason for not using the egg yolk is became it can change the colour to 'peach' - it the country I work in the egg yolks are a pale white/light YELLOW colour, is this still going to affect the colour? By the way your Marble Cake is heaven 💯

I was wondering if there is a way to reverse creaming method for this strawberry cake?
I made the frosting & went with making a homemade vanilla cake recipe using King Arthur's cake flour & made cupcakes.
Also added 8 drops of Lora Ann's Strawberry oil to this frosting along with the reduction & it was insane!
My older daughter said this was like eating a cupcake from a high-end gourmet cupcake shop, the frosting was that insanely good. The reduction was well worth it, don't skip this important step. Thank you for this.
I made your cake for my 4 year old granddaughter. Turned out awesome, and I’m the cool poppy! Now I have to finish a chocolate cake for my 4 year old grandson. (Twins, or the gruesome twosome)

ОтветитьI can't begin to describe my disappointment with this recipe, I have followed and use room temp ingredients and the butter still curdled extremely bad. I have tried whipping it more but nothing. There is no said time frame on how long to mix the butter n sugar abd egg whites. I'm deeply frustrated with this This recipe is not for beginners.

ОтветитьAw bit confusing this one👎🏻I didn't realise I needed strawberry reduction and strawberry puree so no it's not 454g of strawberries. I think the recipe for strawberry reduction uses 1021g of strawberries plus the strawberries for the puree so to make this cake we'll need probably something like 2000 grams or about 10 packs of fresh strawberries. Makes this cake expensive to make. I'll have to wait until tomorrow for the other ingredients I'm short of. My 8 year old is well disappointed.

ОтветитьWhenever I bake cakes the edges get so hard but the middle needs more time. I end up pulling them out earlier and the middle caves in but I have to cut the edges off. Any ideas?
