hello mate, im thinking about a e-bike, i have pair of nobbys 1 at front and 1 rear both 29x 2.6 but feels that rear tire may dance like a 15teen girl with pop music!! what do you think about maxxis assegai 29x2.5 at front and maxxis aggresor at rear 29x2.5 to replace both tires

mine are 2 mm narrower on 29 mm rim, they are basícally 2.4, I am considering 2.8 to get to 2.6 width

You need to try the dual Maxxis Dissector's in 2.6 or 2.4. It's faster rolling and lighter than DHF or DHR. I also think it corners better and has great grip.

Hi there dude I was wondering have you come across a puncture proof 29x2.6 I don't seem to be able to find one everyone keeps telling me go tubless but I am a bit wary of going tubless on my commuter moutain bike .

Not a fan of the NN, I feel they don't roll as fast as they should and I've had it wash out on the front. The new apex HD is a far better option IMO, with a more rounded profile, predictable cornering and more aggressive tread pattern, with a minimal rolling speed penalty.

Been running these 29x2.6 and have to say best upgrade to my Stumpy to date. Running about 18/16 PSI and love the ride. No flats to date after 2 years. Tahoe riding.

thanks fr your reviews and your channel its pretty epic... great work, So I've just ordered the Nobby nic 29 2.6 for my trail bike, Im going from DHF and DHR and pretty much was thinking what you were for a lighter fast rolling tire. Do you think they will be fine on a 25mm in width rim? also how do they wear? my mate thinks they will last a few rides.? Im planning on riding XC type of trails which are loose over hard pack and. Anyway thanks again for your channel and hard work. Sam ps if you fancy seeing some Spanish riding check out my channel..

The 2.35 version of these came on a Trek Fuel I picked up in the fall. Although I like them because of the weight, fast rolling speed and volume (they blow up to 2.4 on 30mm rims), they are unpredictable on the front when cornering hard. Thinking about a Magic Mary up front in 2.35 to keep the weight relatively low and add grip. Hopefully it won’t be too slow.

Running these up front on my rip9 and front and rear on hardtail trail bikes.......light enough to roll and tuff enough run on whatever (I've kissed sidwalls hard and did Jones Park up and down with a roofing nail added to the tread Pattern)....I have to admit that other Schwalbe's haven't smitten me as much.........

I started riding my first few races on some 2.4 trail kings and they were great for starting out on. But seeing those blimps around your rims got me thinking i'll have to try these out.
I like that you mentioned 2.8's and wanting something like it but not so wide but also beyond 2.5.

I'll throw in my two cents and give a big thumbs down to the Nobby Nics in the plus size. Now I can't specifically speak to the 29 2.6 but the 27.5 2.8s are useless in loose dry trails. Very vague with little feedback and not a lot of grip on the front. A decent to good rear tire, but I've replaced the front with a Bontrager xr4 team issue and it is way better. One thing I notice about plus bike tires is that the wider they get the less feedback and feel they provide ( on the front ).

I owned these tires years ago when I had my 26er mtn. bike, great tires for a rear on the climbs. It wore out to dam fast, is this the case today? How durable is the sidewall? Thanks for the review!
