Unfortunately, I just picked this game back up last week and didn't know these encounters weren't entirely RNG so I took the first freighter (an ugly C class), the next one was an S class capital freighter and would have cost me 135 million units to switch but it was early in my game so I only had 10 million to my name. 80 hours and 50 warps later I still haven't found another one.

I don't think new players understand what kind of wealth symbol these things are. Did you guys see the price tag on that one S class? 600mill! I don't have nearly enough farms to get me to that point yet. I was a sucker and took the free one, but I got my way up to an A class recently. And when I say freighters are a wealth symbol, I mean, currently, the best way to get upgrades for these things is to either check every quest giver you find or pay 5mill every day (even more for multiple) for abandoned freighter encounters that give ONE boost per run, and maybe 2-3 modules. These things are more endgame than the stagffs IMO. Even Sentinal and Royal ship/tool S class farming is more realistic to do. Time to crack open some Monster or Red Bull and get to grinding!

I've seen so many videos saying you only get 1 free freighter, but I've just done my 2nd battle and I was offered a 2nd one free......

Resurgence Venator is either flagship of fleet with pods or mobile colony with boxes. I guess you could trick out the inside of the pods to be residential also, hmm. I like to set up the freighter base realistically

I got 2 system freigherts in a row (with battles) 1 was hammerhead other was blade anyone know why this is the case?

Why does no one ever mention that when buying a new freigthier you old base doesnt transfer over, i have always asked that but to no awail and now that i got a new one i have to start collecting all the millions of items again. :(
edit: it only takes the first storage and for me it was just full of general material, welp all the goodies are gone oh well.

i know i'm late to the video but i was confused on whether reloading a save will change the type of freighter (i.e dreadnaught) or if that is system based?

I actually have a freighter full of geck that are all seemingly insane. So me and my friend's collectivly gave it the name the "Dead Man's Post" and in our group even thought it is smaller and worse looking. It has become known as the most dangerous ship

I know there needs to be 3 hours of playtime between freighter battles, but does that need to be in one sitting? Or can I play for 2 hours, turn my Xbox off for a day, come back and do 1 more hour for the freighter event?

A few days ago didn't buy the first free system freighter bcs I shot it while fighting the pirates. Yesterday I came across the second battle and it was a dreadnought sentinal freighter. Only S class but i got it for free. And it wasn't even on purpose😅

Took me 100 hours before someone told me (I didnt even find out myself) That you can build inside your freighter upstairs... mine came with what felt like the basics (2 fleet command, a system scan) but turns out you can have a whole base in there with balcony, greenhouse, storage, specialits, the whole thing :O I really don't know if that's common knowledge but i was dumbfounded and still am a while after learning.

I like the overbite because it reminds me of my Orca and Rorqual. I played Eve for ten years way at the start, and never really found a replacement for it when that became too complicated and finicky. T3 was a step too far for me, it became work at that point.

I must have been damn lucky to get a free S class revolver on the first space battle I got myself into... ever. I might be actually renaming it to something commemorating just how lucky I was.

You can spend TIME searching and reloading to try and get that perfect s class, i just take whats on on offer and play upgrading as i go for what it costs in game to replace is negligible the only thing i dont do is store anything in freighter cargo so when i come across a better freighter i know all i will lose is easily replacable.

I got an s class venator. I reloaded my game and it changed to a c clas. Wtf?

How many freights can you have, can you upgrade the class of your freight and how can you get add on for your engineer section of the freight?
