The best is to use both FCPX and DaVinci. You have the best of both worlds then!
Ответитьoh, are you from Belgium?
ОтветитьOne of the things that really bug me about Resolve is when you delete a clip it tries to rearrange shit for you, it's very frustrating.
I know you can lock the timeline but you have to then use your mouse to point at the lock thing, delete and unlock if you want to move thing around manually.
And there's no way (that I know of) to set a shortcut for the lock.
Also for nearly EVERY simple, common thing you need to create a macro for it yourself because there's barely any default effects.
Even something like a border around a cropped video isn't available.
I have to try this. 😊
ОтветитьAll right but i found some difficult to use frame keys. There are outside the editing bar and i need to go on another bar to manage it and i can't see live the results.
ОтветитьHonestly, if you can’t afford $60/month for an Adobe CC subscription, with all the incredible value contained therein, please get out of the video editing business. That’s ridiculously cheap and it supports the continuous updating, including as of late the incredible AI capabilities.
ОтветитьCame for the real reason, stayed for the da ni van ! 😆
ОтветитьFor me at the start the main reason was cost. If you are starting out or only have a small YT channel that does not make you any money, paying a monthly subscription for Adobe is just not an option. Being able to start free on Resolve, learn and see if it works for you and after that buy a one-time license if you need the advanced features is the best business model they could have implemented to get a ton of people to try and fall in love with using Resolve.
It of course also helps that Resolve is a really good editing software, and Blackmagic also has some nice hardware to go with it like the DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor.
all things good, all things great, except it's only great for new system
ОтветитьIf I were to criticize this video whatsoever is that you made a video about using DaVinci but you don't know for sure what's included in the free version. The obvious second critique is that you haven't used Premiere Pro recently. If you had, you'd know about all the new features and, for me, it hasn't crashed in years. Not only that, as with most of these videos, a lot of you guys kinda forget about Adobe Creative Cloud and their mobile apps. There's more to it than just Premiere Pro.
ОтветитьFOR THE ALGORITHM!!! But seriously, great video and it does make a lot of sense why influencers post their "Why I Switch" videos. L & S.
ОтветитьMe who used Da Vinci forever cause I cannot pay the subscription for Premier Pron
😇
Iam professional editor and i switched to capcut for basic editing and i use premium pro for more complex editng capcut is really damn good and easy 😂
ОтветитьWe just switched from Vegas to this. I use multiple cameras and Vegas would crash at least three times an hour during editing (especially when moving mics around on the timeline).
I just finished up a 6 camera video with Divinchi and had zero crashes! So far I am enjoying it! I enjoy the envelopes more in Sony for sure....so that's going to be something I need to work around...other than that no complaints.
Excellent video **
ОтветитьFairlight never gets any love. I hope they build it out to be pro-tools level DAW.
Ответить> final cut
Acting like 90% of the people switching arent sick of premiere pro lol
You hooked me to this software. I’ve been using Premiere since high school and starting to hate it as an adult. I’m finally going to make the switch and teaching myself Resolve.
ОтветитьPremier Pro have woken up. That there loyal fanbase could easily slip through their hand. Davinci is too competitive! Free software and super powerful. How do you compete with that.
But Adobe's strengths is the AI now. Tough to match that.
Fun Fact: After installing Resolve it will ask you which editing software you're using last, so it will adapt itself for a better experience! Damn Resolve 💖
ОтветитьSubscription models sometimes work. For example, I’m not a content creator, yet I’m using Final Cut Pro on the iPad to create a film for me and my family. After I’m done’ll probably cancel the subscription until I decide to do another film (which may be months to years). But I can also see how the subscription model sucks for professional video editors who would prefer a one-time fee.
ОтветитьYour honesty is ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьPriemere is pretty much unusable. Not sure how it has a customers bade
ОтветитьYeah.. no😂. Final Cut is way too easy to use vs the other two. Most tubers still use it, who aren’t in need of all the extras.
ОтветитьAfter effects enters the chat 🤣
ОтветитьAre they really? Hard to believe. Resolve is a horrible product from UX standpoint.
ОтветитьStill using fcp, the timeline system is way better in my eyes. But sadly, it is starting to lack features. (i have used lightworks, Premiere pro, AVid mediacomposer, finalcut pro 7)
Ответить"analog damage" is unfortunately NOT in the free version. "film damage" is, but could use a built in film grain and shake option.
ОтветитьFirst Resolve update gave me a spinning ball . . . . . . . . . geese
ОтветитьDaVinci make hdr grading so easy
Ответить😡😡😡😡
Ответить😂😂😂
ОтветитьI switched because each update brought more and more bugs and worse and worse performance. Considering how much I was paying per year subscription, I wasn’t getting value nor quality for my expenditure. I’m now Resolve, Affinity, Fusion for all my video and photography needs.
ОтветитьFree is great but I have a strong feeling it's only free in order for BMD to obtain market share and once it does... you'll pay a similar monthly amount.
Just a hypothesis
Subtitles from audio, only in the pay version 😥
ОтветитьI personally like premier pro better because I’ve used it for longer but I’m so over subscription services. Resolve lets me buy it. It’s that simple. On top of that I haven’t even bought it yet. The main thing I think I need from the pro version is GPU decoding because as far as I can tell the free version doesn’t do that
ОтветитьAs a complete noob to video editing, I feel like driving a starship to a grocery store every time I use DR to make my humble edits. It's insane how many advanced features you get totally for free.
Ответитьbecause it doesnt suck and its free?
ОтветитьSpeak for yourself. LOVE FCP! A good artist doesn't blame their tools.
ОтветитьI'd like to point out that while I have indeed switched from premiere to davinci, it still crashes plenty of times for me 😂
ОтветитьPersonally I switched cuz I need badass tracking and don't want to jump between PP and AE 😂
ОтветитьIt's not even that I'm not willing to pay the subscription fee but I find it so absolutely distasteful and disgusting that Adobe chose not to honor those who purchased licenses and spent years mastering their tools only to hold them at gunpoint to subscribe in order to further line their pockets. I'll never give Adobe another cent even if BlackMagic ends up switching to some kind of subscription model.
Ответитьmuch respect for a well made video, I'm a Premier user for over 20 years, It has served me very well yes the crashing is annoying but has gotten better with updates and instant tech support is a huge help...but you got me interested in Da Vinci...you earned a Sub
Ответитьdoa nie van... ?
Ответить"I'm gonna have to do something or I'll stop making videos", this sums up my frustration pretty well. I'm this close to switching to Resolve.
ОтветитьAnyone has an idea how much faster exports are on a mac compared to davinci resolve? Guys...come on.
Ответить
