God doesn’t bring us from a low self-esteem to “standing tall” with a high self esteem, He brings us from dead in sin to alive in Christ. A shallow view of God and His word always leads to shallow worship. Compare and contrast the lyrics to songs that are theologically true. Look up song lyrics from groups like Sovereign Grace, CityAlight, Kieth and Kristyn Getty, and others who hold a high view of scripture and write their lyrics carefully.
