What is your favorite Woodshop?
ОтветитьMake a video testing girls pop secret decks
ОтветитьI don’t know, bro, basically, I choose Antihero, REAL, Pizza decks, which are made in Mexico. But chinese Toy Machine decks are great, I can’t explain it, they are so durable. However, I prefer mexican decks mostly for my skateboarding.
ОтветитьiPhones are made in china too🤷🏻
ОтветитьHonestly I’ll never skate them again. Shame girl and chocolate used to be good, idk why their current boards feel different and not as good
ОтветитьI simply just try to ask the pros. They clearly rode them for years or decades so I would try to gather some more insight regarding their overall feel and comfortability. At the end of the day, it is preference and to the individual skater.
ОтветитьI bought 2 G052 shapes off the crail site. The chocolate one is perfect but the Girl Jeron Wilson blm power deck is made in mexico and also has a little more concave than the chocolate… its kind of bothering me. Why is the other one more concave when they’re both the same shape?
ОтветитьThe question is... How many American skateboarding brands has been made in China nowadays ?
ОтветитьDsm(china) makes the best boards. It’s dwindles woodshop, does all their brands(almost, enjoi, globe, darkstar, monarch, blind, superior, etc.) they also do boards for creature/Santa Cruz. The almost impact boards are the best decks you can buy. I have one that’s almost ten years old, I’ve noseslid through the bottom ply on both ends and it’s still stiffer and poppier than my antihero(bbs) that is much newer. I’m 6’3, 235. BBS boards are fine too, but you’ll get more for your money with dsm. They are the only boards I know of guaranteed not to break for like 45days or something. Im not saying that there aren’t garbage manufacturers in china, but just bc something is made in china doesn’t make it garbage. The china made Indys are as good or better than they ever were. I don’t think anybody is thrilled about sending jobs to other countries, but it’s the nature of a global economy. Made in the USA doesn’t mean what it maybe used to either as far as quality. American made cars and motorcycles have been trash for decades and behind the Japanese for at least 50 years.
ОтветитьBBS
ОтветитьGood to know I’ll never support girl again
ОтветитьChocolate is my favorite brand with decks and clothing
ОтветитьSoo true good video
ОтветитьI ride pop secret decks from crailtap and they have a stamp on top that says north American maple 🍁 and I've had 4 if them and haven't broken 1
ОтветитьAll element decks are made in China well the public decks are. Athlete boards aren’t made in China and Element doesn’t sell the pro riders shapes to the public. That’s why all Nyjah’s boards were not the same boards he actually road. everything you have and use in your house is China made lol I think people are crazy that flip out on none American made stuff
ОтветитьIs element decks made in China
Ответитьwood and wheels
ОтветитьMexican skateboards 😂 Chinese skateboards 😂
Ответитьyou got some good pronunciation
ОтветитьI love Crailtap but truth be said, i broke a Chocolate deck doing a wack ass switch pop shuv on flat and it broke VERTICALLY,the glue seemed super wack as well, but the board itself had great shape,G008's for me.
ОтветитьI buy CRAILTAP (almost all the time) and it says PREMIUM factory in China. So... They are really good. On the other hand, I am riding an OPTION skateboard, made in Sicily, $45... out of stock. The demand is bananas. These small companies are really interesting. If Option wasn't completely out of stock due to the very high demand in Europe, I wouldn't even be looking at Crailtap, Deluxe... distribution.
ОтветитьG052 and G033 🔥
ОтветитьPStix, all day
ОтветитьI’ve been skating girl & chocolate for years and they’re A1 to me. REAL boards I had snapped easy and didn’t last.
Ответитьto be completely honest I dont get why we all havent fully switched to carbon fiber decks already. they are superior in every way, especially when it comes to pop and durability.
ОтветитьBBS is number 1. Its not even close. They make the most durable 7 plys.
ОтветитьAlso dwindle dist are made in China but are very good quality especially the Resin7 decks..the reason I don’t skate them is they usually have steep kicks and concave so I stay with anything DLX… some dwindle companys: thank you, madness, palace, evisen, almost, enjoi, dark star, globe
ОтветитьSanta Cruz is the only board I trust. NHS for life brah. The most premium
ОтветитьNever thought about skating crailtap boards until recently when my girlfriend bought a G027 Girl deck which felt really crisp and snappy for me. Snappier than the Baker 8.125 I was currently skating. Always only bought BBS boards but maybe I’ll pick up a chocolate board one of these days haha
ОтветитьAnyone know who makes blood wizard decks?
ОтветитьThe Real Renewal doves decks are considered as price point decks? Mine says made in Mexico.
ОтветитьAndrew Brophy is my guy and I got his Pop Secret deck and regular Girl decks and the quality is there. Like it was stated in the vid. Not all stuff made in China is bad. There are levels to the quality. Shoot even some made in Mexico decks have varying quality. I compared the Dogtown Big Foot II decks from Watson laminates in the US vs. the one made by PS Stix in Mexico and there was a slight difference in the wood and the staining etc. The Watson deck looked to be a better quality.
ОтветитьMy girl deck has been very good to me
ОтветитьThe way I understand it the reason that decks made in china have a bad reputation is because the quality control standards are more lax than they are in North America. This being said, its not like every board they make over there is going to be a lesser quality, but you have a better chance of getting a bad board. I would assume that different factories have higher QC standards as well. Other factors can come into play too. Ive always heard good things about Zero Decks and i saw a guy say he got 1 that broke in a day and was told that "Covid wood" was the reason for it when he complained to them.
ОтветитьI love Ivan's skatepark come to cedar and shred the park with the locals but back in the day Macho boards were one of the strongest boards you could get and they were from mexico
ОтветитьCrailtap are not the only ones using China Woodshops.
ОтветитьI make my own boards.
ОтветитьP Stix for sure better quality great shapes.
ОтветитьControl in Canada make amazing boards! Studio skateboards are some of the best I’ve ridden
Ответитьchocolate boards have been my favorites as of late bro they feel amazing to ride
ОтветитьBBS and PS, but also one of the best feeling boards I skated recently was an enjoi.
ОтветитьI do not like the shape and concave of every chocolate I've ever had and they also feel like the wood is thicker and heavier compared to the deluxe and pstyx boards I usually prefer to ride
Ответитьdeluxe is on top
ОтветитьI very recently got a chocolate skateboard that broke after a week and a half (boards usually last a month/month and a half)
But I had a girl before that which lasted a month before switching out.
Not sure what happened here.
I really love tum yeno
ОтветитьJust realized both of my decks should be Mexican made but unfortunately I got a price point Krooked so it’s in China actually..
Ответитьi only skate girl and chocolate i love the g023 shape and the g028 shape literally perfect boards
ОтветитьAnything DLX is quality also tum yeto.
ОтветитьI’ve heard that Crailtap is now back in the US? The girl decks I tried were pretty bad a few years ago when they were from China, but I think recently they may have moved their production back to the US.
I’m in HK and have been skating a lot of Chinese brands mainly due to price and accessibility here. Compared to US boards, there is definitely a quality difference, but I think it’s still very skatable, esp for the price (I can get decks for about 20-25 usd). Definitely would choose a US/mexican board if I was in the US tho, esp if the price diff isn’t too significant.
Currently on a board that is a copy of the girl pop secret tech (carbon fiber top ply) and it’s been really good now for 3 months.
I got a girl deck for free! Somehow skate warehouse sent me my order (antihero) and someone else's order a girl deck. Plus some ventures too wide for the board and some crap bearings. Lol. But anyway I skated the girl deck for a few sessions and I felt like it had pop, but the wood definitely wore away very quickly, like it was less dense or something. One little tail tap on a manual went through half a ply.
