ОтветитьI made this tonight and it was amazing! I will definitely be making this again and again. My picky husband absolutely loved it, along with garlic naan from another channel. I didn't have a couple of the ingredients but improvised (ground cardamom and connamon instead of the pods and cinnamon stick). This was an impressive meal and worth the effort! It wasn't hard or complicated, just took some time. Thank you!!!!
ОтветитьChetna, just wanted to come and give thanks for this recipe. I’ve always struggled with curry but this is EPIC! I’ve made it with chicken, with quorn chicken and a small amount of chicken and bulked it out with sweet peppers. It’s amazing every time. Soooooo tasty 😋 thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️

ОтветитьChef Chintan Pandya's version of chicken tikka masala is close to being authentic. The CTM version of this lady is way too simple and would clearly lack that wow factor!

ОтветитьThis is more of a home style Chicken Tikka Masala that is a lot thicker and a lot more lumpy.
If you want a takeout restaurant style smooth gravy you must use a blender to blend the onion/tomato/spice mixture, then you need to strain the gravy in a fine mesh sieve.
The blending allows all of the flavours to homogenise together and will give the sauce its the characteristic orange colour. Using the sieve gets rid of all the tomato skins and anything else thick and lumpy that is in the gravy. I prefer to remove the aromatic whole spices after they have seasoned the oil instead of leaving them in to cook with the onions / tomatoes as if you blend these whole spices the sauce becomes overpowered by the aromatics.

ОтветитьIts amazing they always show hire Indian women, when he steals the recipies form the Indian, Bangladeshi males! He never gives them credit, he now shows Chetna. Even when you look at Masterchef you will see not one male has won Masterchef UK, yet everyone who in non Indian makes Indian. When Indian women make it they say oh they are showing their ancestoral heritage. When an Indian male makes it they say they cant cook anything except Indian food! How two faced of them. They have an Kiwi/ Samoan, Aussie, a Boorw boy 90% of the dishes are Indian, but they complaint and call the Indian food smelly, call them garlic breath chillie head. I remember they had a contest where Suresh had to make Soufle, as soon as he was botted off they siad you have to make a spicey plate! This reminds me of the Joke when a St Peter gets a bunch of white people and he said spell Cat, Rat, DOg when the black guy comes in he said spell Chiaroscurist! Oliver is always doing Indian food and his elpers are always Indian women in the main. Yet he gets his recipies from Abdul, Mohammed, Sanjay, Ravinder. I remember he came to Leicester and at friends resteraunt, and I said to him you dont ahve any women in the kitchen, he said they insisted I had an Indian women in the kitechen saying she was head chef, so I got my sister in law who doesnt know how to make toast but thats what they wanted. Suplicitous people. I see Nadiya, Ruby, Sahalia Mehmood, Daxa, Mistry, Anju Adnan get shows but the Indian males never get a show! Classic case in point Rahul who won Bake Off and was voted almost every episode star barker but unlike Nadiya got no show. Even ehen Hardeep SIgh Kohli came on he was robbed of winning to Matt Dawson.

ОтветитьAnother winner. Absolutely delicious and better than a lot restaurant Indian food I've had. A few steps here and I messed up the kitchen a bit but it's easy to follow and as always with a Chetna recipe, the result is FANTASTIC. Thank you, Chetna and thanks Jamie!
