Hi Eddy. Met you in A7DJ bar about 3 weeks ago or so during one of Nick's Sunday livestreams. Is it true that even if you hire an agent to extend your visa for another 30 days you still have to go to Jomtien? Reason I ask is I'm returning in December for 90 days on a 60 day tourist visa and I'm not sure how to go about the extension process.

Eddy i was there last year needed a extension done for 30 days went and saw mark paid the fee done in 2 hours they picked me up at jomtein as that is where i was staying took me to the office to get photo taken done in 10 mins then paperwork was ready in the arvo A1 zero problem at all.

why don’t you think about a one year retirement visa with multiple entries. it may be a better choice.

the point is they do the paperwork and there is no line. i just walk in and out in less than 5 minutes. maybe you are unaware or tye maybe the agent you picked is not good.

Then you talking about a cheap hotel Called Golden Sea Pattaya…but that’s not cheaper enough for you so you get a hotel far cheaper. But it costs you more money to get to the centre of Pattaya. Now you keep on about retiring in Thailand and you go get a tourist visa…..

I had no issue extending mine just have to be in the right place and fill in the docs and also have your money passport

Pisspoor planning & doesn't listen. Ed's going to aruthuya in a few days. So use the immigration office there. Last time, I extended there it took 10 minutes. Or UdonThani etc. There are over 20 immigration offices around Thailand, not just Pattaya and Bangkok and the vast majority take no time. Google for offices and services at each one.

No Eddy I did that no waiting they should tell you when to go. I was their for less than 5mins.

im staying in jomtien i did the visa run by my self if you do everything the way it should be done there is no problem i would defo do it my self again no prob

I did my 30days extension in koh samui in maenam very efficient and very helpful immigration office. Anybody thinking of doing an extension go to koh samui lot easier

Eddie just do the Visa in Jomtien it will take most of the day but worth it!

Why waste 5000 baht on a paltry 30 day extension when the same money (or less) will buy you a return airfare to Phnom Penh or Saigon, where you can enjoy a change of scenery for a few days/weeks and get your 30 days free on return. Plus in Eddy's case a lot more interesting content than traipsing around Jomtien and the dreaded Chonburi Immigration office. That place is bad for Eddy's blood pressure!
