I believe there is a bit of a distortion her. The Brown Shirts were a copy of the Black Shirts which were there since WW1 and was a big reason why the Italians joined WW1 and allowed Mussolini to come to prominence. Mussolini’s Fascist weren’t racially antisemitic and had over 10,000 Jewish members with Mussolini’s mistress being a Jew. The persecution of the Democratic Socialist is a bit misleading. The Nazis came into power because of Democratic Socialist voted for them. The Night of The Long Knives happen because a segment of the Democratic Socialist wanted another Social Revolution and Jeopardized the Power they already gained and was a Consolidation of power. To allow Social Change to happen at the ballot box, not the streets. The Brown Shirts were made to replace the Freikorps, a voluntary paramilitary force that hated Communism and had to step in for Weimar to save them from the Bolshevik Revolution of January 5, 1919 by the Spartacist Uprising lead by Rosa Luxembourg believing in the Red October Revolution. Which was another false belief because of a distortion of history. This is why we don’t distort history, otherwise you’re repeating history without knowing it. The Brown shirts were Fanatical Socialist that were raised for one thing, War. They were raised for the idea of Lebensraum and were made into Socialized Soldiers which the Freikorp really stood no chance against considering they were a small Voluntary Force who were no match against the National Socialist. I guess you could classify the Nazis as a paramilitary force because of them being made up of the German Labor Front and was 25 million member strong Labor Union. He had millions of Germans believing that land expansionism will solve their problems and they were wrong. Land expansionism never solved their problems and they were figuring that out quickly well before they even got to Stalingrad. It was a doomed idea at the start but people were caught up in false ideas and intentionally miseducated simply because, the truth is uncomfortable. Don’t hear what you simply want to hear, otherwise you get caught up in false ideas and those false ideas can get people killed.
