MEETING THE LOCALS of BADUY | JAVA, INDONESIA

GUYS WE WANT YOUR HELP! This seems to have been a confusing issue throughout all of our videos in Banten, and we’ve seen many comments about this so we want to clarify…As we understand it, Banten is its own province, correct? At first we thought Banten was part of West Java, but we were told countless times by the people in Banten that it’s not. This would mean that Java is made up of 4 provinces (East, Central, West, and Banten), and 2 special regions/areas Jakarta and Yogyakarta. Even though the people in Banten are Sundanese, it’s still not part of West Java (similar to how there’s Javanese people in both East and Central Java). Therefore our statement that the Baduy people live in the Banten Province of Java, Indonesia is accurate, correct?

Good to see your video here. ❤🙏 Remind me when I visited Baduy Luar & stayed a nite at Baduy Dalam on 2011. When the dark came the women walked out with sarong to the river & mandi. Amazing. Tough for my eyes to see in the dark without lights but they used to. After that we makan. While i tought we must sleep early, we heard the music from bamboo instruments. Followed the music & found out they were playing bamboo instruments (got angklung too) in the dark. So cool! Best memories ever even was not allowed to capture it with camera.

Mungkinkah manusia hidup tanpa teknologi? Saya kira itu tidak mungkin, sedangkan mereka sudah pakai pakaian yg menggunakan teknologi

if you look closely ... they build doesn,t use nail anbd hammer ... i think is forbidden in baduy ...

The Baduy people have strict rules, not allowing technology or chemicals to be used there because they want to keep nature natural, and that has been true since the days of their ancestors centuries ago, they are the guardians of Banten's culture and nature ... even yesterday they asked the Banten government to revoke internet access to outer Baduy villages... and it was granted.
