Great movie, one of my faves. So many of the special effects are cheesy now, but this final scene made up for all that came before. RIP William Hurt.

This film is a goddamn MASTERPIECE, and THIS is the role that should have won William Hurt an Oscar, IMHO.

And this is why you never eat sandwich meat past the expiration date.

RIP William Hurt, I found out about this movie because of a Starlog magazine from March 1981 that my dad bought, I thought it was super interesting and watched it, one of my best decisions ever.
