Very interesting. Thanks Sal!
ОтветитьWhat's with the pen tool?
ОтветитьNice video as always, although the volume was a little low on this one.
ОтветитьI like this. :-D
ОтветитьKhan as a doctor would remind me of Doctor Cudner in the House M.D. series.
ОтветитьGreat video, but the guest mic volume on all of these latest videos seem to be quite low.
ОтветитьMic was low, but thats why I have a volume dial on the video... -b
ОтветитьWhich seems especially designed to put patients in a position of weakness!
ОтветитьThank you Sal, a very enlightening video. I want to study medicine in the UK, and this has really gotten me thinking more about becoming a doctor, as well as helping me validate my decision.
ОтветитьHey... is this Sal? I recognize the voice from the calculus videos from Khan Academy!!
ОтветитьI love the Khan academy but I am very disappointed in this video. It adds no value what so ever. Dr. Abraham Verghese needs to may be donate his time and practice medicine in a third world country, may be he will not be so full of himself anymore. I want my 8 minutes and 48 seconds back please.
ОтветитьI think this is valid for nurses as well. As the required documentation increases, it's easy to justify spending less and less time with patients, but it's an exchange that has importance for both participants. The healthcare personnel (doctor, nurse, whoever) gains information, and the patient feels validated like you said.
ОтветитьWhat's with the low volume
I had headphones and yet I had to turn the AC off and move into the other room

I LOVE this video so much, I wish there was more visual engagement.
ОтветитьI recently (August 2023) read the novel by Dr. Abraham Verghese - " The Covenant of Water" - an excellent book, a must read - an Oprah's Book Club pick too.
