Great review! I tend to be a one shoe for all circumstances trail runner. Ive had great success with the Saucony Xodus, with #3 being my favorite. Ive also used the LaSportiva,Wildcat and I think they were great for ultras on technical trails, but maybe a little overkill for short runs.....but regardless, it is comfortable so I dont hesitate to use it all the time.
ОтветитьAwesome shoe. I like the all in one. Means I can afford the shoe that can do it all. Like this.
ОтветитьI go for 3 pairs of trail shoes; 1 Maximal regular;1 Minimal(ish) regular & finally 1 Sticky rubber for the wet.
ОтветитьPlease review the Akasha and compare it to the Mutant.
Ответить6mm drop and less gets my Achilles barking! I think we need to focus more on height and feel.
ОтветитьGreat review! I like an all around shoe. I will just try this shoe. I ran in Brooks cascadias and liked them a lot but I feel now that I'm a more experienced trail runner that it's a road shoe first and trail shoe second. I'm ready for a change. I still like higher drop cause my calves r always tight and when I went lower drop it kinda bothered my kinetic chain back there. Also I'll be doing a lot of races on different surfaces and I need a shoe that can tackle all that at once. This looks like it. I like the fit around the top as well will fit more like a gaiter and less dented in my shoe the better
Ответитьyou laced the shoe in the wrong way. you have tu put the two lace inside the cage and than lace them
ОтветитьMy favorite Buzzsaw of a trail shoe.
ОтветитьThank you for video.
ОтветитьInformative review! Loved the shoe from my first runs in it but then became a bit disillusioned with it when the toe cap started to peel away after just a hundred miles. At that point I shelved the shoe for probably a year but eventually came back to it when I knew I had a stretch of mountain running that was going to be over gnarly terrain and would most likely do some significant wear to whatever shoes I wore. I figured the Mutant could be my sacrificial lamb. Much to my surprise, the shoe held up and no more wear became evident besides the peeling and it didn't increase at all. The shoe handles all terrain like a chap, enough cushion for 50k's and probably longer (I turn to other shoes for that distance) and is holding strong now at 400 miles on some very rough terrain.
Ответитьfinally a good review of the mutant
ОтветитьFav shoe ever
