Super nice
Ответить“It does not offer excitement “
What do you suggest; an SUV? 😂
So much better then a Corolla and on the lower trims such a great value
ОтветитьOk, are you ready for the real analysis?
Just picked up my 22 Jetta from the dealer.
Needs a steering wheel because of a touch sensor malfunction. On nationwide backorder. Rear brakes almost metal to metal. Had to purchase pads and rotors. Brake flush recommended at 30K and I requested a fuel induction service because this is a direct injection motor. I was informed that Volkswagen upped the rear brake warranty to 24K and upgraded the pads.
I did not qualify because I have 33k on the odometer. I also asked them to check the hill assist and they said it was normal, but they would program the hill assist to release earlier, and they did. 14 months and 33k later this should not happen and it's a little suspect that they made these rear brake upgrades. I have purchased over 30 brand new cars and have owned 45 cars in 46 years. I also have worked in the auto repair/ business since 1977. Trained mechanic and was a mechanic for 10 years. Also connectivity problem with Android and harsh ride. Oh, a rock hit the windshield last week and $1100 later because of camera in windshield ( Volkswagen only) they tried aftermarket and it didn't work. I don't mind taking care of my car at all. This car is far the worst new car experience that I have had since 1991 Dodge Monoco. The fuel mileage is fantastic average hwy 45 city 40mph. Results stay away!!
No more Volkswagens for me.
You did well, thanks😊l 😊
ОтветитьGreat car, great value!
ОтветитьJust bought a 2023 sport. It's got a lot to offer for the price you pay and it surprisingly turns a lot of heads due to the lack of these on the road.
ОтветитьI LOVE my 23! Averages over 42 miles to the gallon so far! You can't go wrong with this car!
ОтветитьBeautiful car. Love it!
ОтветитьIt has a rubber timing belt on an interference engine, a nightmare waiting to happen!
ОтветитьWhat’s crazy is that motor trend was able to get better 0-60 times and only .02 seconds slower than the civic si in 1/4mile with the base Jetta sport . Considering a civic si after market adjust and ttl is 36k and a Jetta sport can be had for less than 24k after ttl it’s a great deal .
ОтветитьCan some one tell me what kind of gear box does it has ? DQ250 ?/
ОтветитьI own this 2022 Jetta SE with 9000 on odometer. ride is 10, mileage is 11...a great commuter for my 100 mile commute. the only thing that is annoying is the throttle is so jumpy. the turbo kicks in hard when i just touch the accelerator. I'm going in for my 1st oil change this week and will mention. otherwise she's awesome. don't hesitate to purchase!!
ОтветитьI get 40 mpg depending on traffic btu average 38-39.5 at speed limits on the 2023 trim. Honestly it's a nice car for it's price.
ОтветитьMy 2019 Jetta has 98k miles on it, most i've gotten is 53 mpg on the highway.
ОтветитьWould like just a tiny bit more luxury out of the SEL model, but the price and fuel economy make it still very enticing!
ОтветитьA good review with a lot of insults :)
ОтветитьNew grill seems rounded and chubby. Pass.
ОтветитьI watched this random yt recommended review and bought a 2022 Jetta. Jetta was not even in my list of cars.
ОтветитьGreat job, love the trains in the back round.
ОтветитьI wish they would redesign the tail lights to give a more European look. So many cars have this same look but this design is much improved over the really plain old design.
ОтветитьCan anyone comment on what kind of MPG they get in city or mixed city/hwy traffic?
ОтветитьYa nice car but !
Volkswagen Jetta (A7)
Wheelbase 2,686 mm (105.7 in)
Curb weight 1,347 kg (2,970 lb)
Volkswagen Passat (B5)
Wheelbase 2,703 mm (106.4 in)
Kerb weight 1,406 kg (3,100 lb)
If I want a Passat... I'll buy a Passat.
Now can we have our fun little Jetta back?
My A6 feels like an anvil compare to my A2.
Car manufacturers... laughing in our faces every minute of the day.
Proof : Half of the value of a car today is how much USB there is in it... when we actually don't need any.
Can you flash these ECUs?
ОтветитьAfter getting rear ended, I rented this car. I usually drive a 2016 charger. With that said, I didn’t expect to be impressed by this car. However, it is sneaky fast. The turbo makes switching gears smooth, and the sunroof is pretty cool. Unfortunately, the car is so small it feels like it’s going to fly away if you have a lead foot. Ultimately, this car is definitely impressive, but it doesn’t have balls. Then again, maybe it’s because I’m not used to driving compact 🤷🏾♂️
ОтветитьAny '22 Jetta SEL owners out there that can talk about what they like and don't like about it? I'm in the market, but my local Honda and Toyota dealers are tagging on big markups while the VW dealer is offering MSRP. Thanks.
Ответитьhello looking into buying a 2022 one, to those who have had Jettas before, Im assuming just from reading everyones comments that these cars are very reliable and dont break down alot especially I will be taking good care of it!
ОтветитьI just bought one I love it so far
ОтветитьThe cost of ownership...
ОтветитьThat Jetta Is A Must Popular Car.
Ответитьiq drive is not a standard until SE trim.
ОтветитьWho buys this over a passat? Its even more boring than the passat. Pimping it is like boosting a corolla. Even the accord looks better. The old jetta were where vw stylers were demmoted to. This new one is a big improvement and that's saying something. Never understood why VW keeps seling this. More suitable in poorer countries where its seen as premium 4 wheel saloon
ОтветитьI have a 22 se. It’s a great car in every way. For the money there isn’t a better car. Only complaint is the interior rattles pretty bad. I had a 2020 civic si that rattled even worse. I think all new cars are cheap plastic and rattley though.
Ответитьits wack, looks like a honda. old ones looked more elegant
ОтветитьWho’s in charge of this hideous facelifts?!?!?!?!?!?!
ОтветитьI'm happy that there are cars that still offer 5/6 speeds. Even though it's only a 1.5, the power is there when needed especially over 3k rpm. Good amount of torque. I get 51mpg on the freeway on long trips with 2 people in the car. Only about 27-30 combined, cuz I like to go through the 6 speeds quickly.
ОтветитьI hate the 17 inch wheels we get in Canada. To the untrained eyes they look similar but no! Maybe its the tires or the design of the wheels which is slightly different. I dont know but the ones we get here in Canada dont look like 17 inch wheels and ruin the look of the car imo. These wheels here I like! Thats the ones we had on the 2019-2021 model.
ОтветитьThe wheel and tire package is hideous, the front bumper a abomination. -me
Ответитьdang break the steering wheel lol
ОтветитьI like it. I just ordered one because of this review and your earlier reviews
ОтветитьThey need to make it standard to put vents in the back of the car... i come from Arizona no vents in the back during the hot summer heat is NO BUENO.
ОтветитьNo thanks I’m pretty much done with Volkswagen. I’ve had them since the 90s. The last I had was a 2019 and I hated it. Used a lot of oil and I only kept it under one year. Also, bring back the diesel!
Ответитьwhy do cars still add incandescent bulbs if LEDs are literally cheaper? feels like they do it on purpose to push you to a higher trim.
ОтветитьNow is this a commuter car?
ОтветитьNice review!
ОтветитьI was given this car twice as a rental instead of a Camry. Niether wireless charger worked and having micro USB ports is so stupid. I hate this car
ОтветитьI saw this new model pull into a parking lot and immediately ran to see this review. Honestly, I’ll pass. I’m in my 2nd Jetta (2012 & 2019 Model S) and I don’t see myself going for a third. Jettas are great starter cars if you have kids and want them to be safe. However, as I get older they are too low for me. Everyone else is manufacturing ether cars with LED lights and it shines right through my Jetta so I want something higher. I’m currently on a cross country road trip and the MPG has been great. I drive mainly in ECO, down shifting to “Sport” if I need to race someone. I don’t get my car maintained as much as I should and he’s still been a trooper.
So my original point was also that not much has changed on the car from the 2019 revamp to this one to make me even consider changing cars. I’m not a fan of the smaller front end. I the the bigger grill and headlights give the Jetta a “meaner” look. Especially with my car being black with dark black tints.
Great review though. I’m not sure if you personally own a Jetta but when you got to the rear of the car and said you had to squint to see the differences I laughed out loud. I listed off the differences immediately. They’re subtle but there. If you don’t own a Jetta, not seeing it is understandable.
The taillights looks like the new honda civic. Maybe coincidence?
ОтветитьJust bought one for 24100 out the door
