PSP Comparison 1000, 2000, 3000, GO - Difference Between the Best Handheld Console 2020 Playstation

A thing i noticed between versions is that in monster hunter freedom unite, when you are on the desert, you can see the ondulations on the sand texture when playing with the 1000 but, in the 3000 is just a flat texture. That's where i lost interest in the other versions.

A really useful video... thanks! I taught a videogame history course for many years and used two 1000 models and three 2000 models in the delivery of the course. All of the batteries, even in the 2000 models, eventually expanded and failed. I no longer teach the course as I retired but I still use my PSP (with the AC adapter)... mostly to play Space Invaders Extreme as I love that game. I am thinking of putting a Raspberry Pi in my PSP 1000 but we'll see, Anyway, I really liked the PSP (and the Vita). Thanks for the video.

I just thrifted a silver psp 2000 Dexter bundle and amazing condition. It brought me back to playing my psp 1000 and god of war. Thanks for the awesome review. I didn’t realize how many psp models came out.

The psp go was awful at launch due to download only, very expensive to own and use. But with cfw, its much more useful. But, the form factor is not comfortable for long plays, or using the analog stick, d pad games are much more comfortable to play for longer. But I love the form factor, slips in a pocket easily even in its little case.

"Cool" mechanical switch to eff up, I'd rather have the manual umd open, if I used umd's, but with cfw, I never even open the umd drive door anyway.

With cfw the umd drive is a mute point. Play all the games and media from sd card.

psp 3000 are still the best

we could have a PSP with PS5 performance if sony continued developing this :)

But I heard the 3000 had issues with lines on the screen. Is that true??

just bought a PSP 1000 and 2000 and a lot of games and original power adapters for 45 euro, pretty happy with it.

My 3000 stopped working and I had problems with it and one problem I personally had with the 3000 was my hands cramping up from playing it cause it was too skinny would a 1000 have a better feel?

For TV out, the PSP Go is the best one.
Here's why:
It's super small. It would turn on the TV, but you also could pair a PS3 Controller to it via bluetooth. So you could just let the Go closer to the TV and play from your sofa, with the controller.
The drawback is that the Go uses the same socket for charging, to plug in on the TV so once the battery dies, you would have to stop playing to charge the little guy first.

Luckily my sister is giving me her old in box psp because it hasn’t been used in god knows how long, needs a battery but otherwise is good! Cant wait to play some racing games on it!

I have PSP 3000 in black color (very good condition) and i had it for 6 years, most of the time it spent inside a case, only played and completed 2 games on it (GTA Liberty City Stories and GTA Chinatown Wars) and after all these years i finally started looking up what you can do with it so i modded it, added more storage (64GB) and now it's running like a charm. I even have original PSP headphones for it, complete box, cables, everything. I wonder how much all that stuff will cost in the future though i don't think about selling it

I’d maybe summarize your thoughts with a script before filming. You say contradictory things. It’s a lot slimmer but not that much slimmer. The battery is less milliamps but better battery life. Super confusing information

I feel like its also important to mention a lot of the aftermarket speaker docks and accesories/stuff like that are available for the 1000 model over 2000/3000

Me stumbling onto these psp videos got my attention because i just so happen to own a psp go, black one of course but ive had it since around 2011. And guess what? Perfect condition and really was never used or played much at all. I originally bought it for my wife but she wasnt into it. So, it took a backseat immeadietly and ive had it put up ever since in a ziplock bag in a shoebox all these years. Got the cords too. Never bought a game for it. I just plugged it up and it works fine. I seen a video before this that itterated how the psp go in 2023 was making a comeback due to jailbreaking it and or dl'ing certain files off the computer and apparently theres a way now to dl games or emulated games from some site online not associated with the shut down psp store. Gonna dig deeper on it all see what i can accomplish getting games on it.

I believe the 1000 is slower has it has 32mb ram compared to 64mb

I bought the Kingdom Hearts Birth by sleep PSP-3000 Model. It is so damn beautiful and the games are so much fun. So happy I finally got a PSP. I don't like the modern handhelds nearly as much as the PSP or Vita. They are all just way too big and bulky. I truly miss the DS/3DS/PSP/Vita times :(

Amazon is selling a couple specials editions of grand turismo and god of war for i think it was 180 + shipping. 😅

I think 2000/3000 is the best the only real advantage of the 3000 was it had an external mic for Skype and the 2000 you need the official psp headphones with the control I believe it’s been awhile.😅

Just came across this video because i just recently got Into getting PSP's again and crazy you mention that the rare one of the psp go is the white one, that's the one I have with full box and everything, didn't even know they go high still in the market

Went to buy an xbox 360 with 2 controllers and 8 games for 70 bucks. I complimented the guy's psp 1000 and my man threw it in for free just needs a new battery. After I got home I was more excited about the psp than the xbox.

These no longer go for less then 70
