Is it true u have to show proof of your departure when arrival ? So they can process tour tourist visa
ОтветитьGreat info! On my last trip there last month there were a lot of places including Starbucks and McDonald's that did not accept cash. To get around this I got a Rabbit card which a lot of these businesses accepted. Initially this was kind of frustrating and seemed kind of anti-tourist.
ОтветитьGreat info as always. A quick query, if I may. I'm planning on entering Thailand on the 60-day visa exemption, assuming they don't move the goalposts, to do a course, and then hope to pick up a job. Despite my intention to stay by getting a job and legally converting to a non-immigrant B visa, if this can this conversion be done easily, will the immigration officer on arrival require me to show a return ticket out of Thailand after the first 60 days? Thanks in advance for any help.
ОтветитьHello… do i need any corona vaccination certificate to come to Thailand ? My latest vaccination was in 2022.
Ответитьhello i want to go from thailand to laos, stay 14 days in laos, and come back to thailand, how many days do i get in thailand
ОтветитьWalking around at night just be careful when lady boys on motor cycles approach you, basically their out to rob you, especially if they think your drunk😂
ОтветитьThanks Cal, great info. Enjoy the way you do your videos. Now subscribed.
ОтветитьHi Cal, great content as always. I have a lifestyle question. I come from a country where air conditioning is rare in domestic properties – you only ever see it in shops, offices or hotels. Earlier this year, I spent three months in Thailand and, to acclimatise, I walked around a lot in Bangkok (even to your condo complex and had a Pad Thai at The Best). I'd walk at night too, because it's cooler and never had any problems with safety.
But I digress, every hotel or guest house I ended up in, I'd take a picture of the model info on the side of the air con unit and download a PDF manual so I could work out how to use the timer, as they're all a bit different. Often I'd set it to carry on for an hour after lights out, as I don't like the noise of having it on all night. Yet sometimes keeping it on all night seemed to be the only way to be sure of uninterrupted sleep. Do you have any advice on how best to manage air con use? For example, is there a routine you tend to follow for working from home, evenings and sleeping. I prefer ceiling fans for during the day, but not every place has them.
Good luck i heard that big river contaminated from myunmar gold digging and other resources and rouge goverment and thai not sure what to its testing positive for arsenic and other poisons up by chang rai
ОтветитьThank you Cal! I really love all the scenic videos you've been posting. They really give you a decent sense of the areas you're in. I think the dogs scare me the most about the move. How awkward was it to be walking through peoples living spaces. I would feel like I was being intrusive. I'm so glad they were kind and let you through. Great job Cal.
ОтветитьBe careful, Bangkok Pat got bit in the leg a while ago.
Chipped my front tooth and got it fixed for $35 usd
Thanks for sharing the video Cal !!! Get that Tri-pod ready !!! Haha
Sorry to have missed your Q & A😮

I just want to taste a destination to learn customs and mingle with peoples aroud. Any chance to keep in touch with you should I need to validating important infos ?. Thanks once again for your good work.
ОтветитьMy question ist ,why are you still in Thailand If everything ist so Bad!
ОтветитьQuestion: People say it is expensive to have and raise a child in Thailand. I have not come across this topic on anyone's videos over the years. It might be good for your younger views who may want to consider starting a family in Thailand.
ОтветитьAfter 49yrs of frequent visits I just flew home, had enough, so glad.
ОтветитьHi Cal, Please can you tell me when I get a 'Taxi Ticket' at Bangkok Airport do I KEEP the ticket or give it to the driver ? Thank you

ОтветитьGood update 😊🙏👋
ОтветитьHey Cal, being Canadian, perhaps you can shed some light on this.
Currently exploring options with a service in Thailand that takes care of all the administrative work to acquire a Non-O Retirement Visa. From what I understand the retirement visa has one of the two following qualifications either have ฿800,000 in a bank account in Thailand or demonstrate a minimum of ฿65,000 per month.
This is one of the answers they gave to me regarding the monthly income option. When you have time, can you look this over and tell me what your view is on what they’re trying to say here and if it’s true or not. With the Canadian Embassy provide the same service as the US Embassy for American experts in Thailand?
“A Non-O visa is not the same as a tourist visa. You need to apply for a Non-O visa specifically for retirement purposes before coming to Thailand.
Once you arrive, you can’t apply for the retirement visa extension right away. Immigration will only accept your application after you’ve stayed in Thailand for at least 45 days.
But from experience, this option usually works best for American applicants because the U.S. embassy provides a confirmation letter verifying their income. I think that the Canadian embassy does not usually issue this type of letter, and it’s hard to contact them by phone or email.
You would need to visit the Canadian embassy in Bangkok in person with all necessary documents to check if they can issue the required letter. However, most Canadian clients in the past found this difficult and chose instead to use the 800,000 Baht bank deposit option, which is much more straightforward.”
Can anyone buy any property below 50k USD, and stay in Thailand forever?
ОтветитьNice walk & talk along the Klong. Appreciate all the great info on traveling and living in Bangkok.
ОтветитьHi Cal. Is the gold elite visa worth it? Thanks
ОтветитьHey Cal, been watching your videos to help with my upcoming trip next week, I booked my hotel in the Si Lom district due to prices and the hotel looked good in pictures. Is public transportation more favorable or should I stick to grab? I really want to visit Chatuchak Market and get lost in the stalls, thank you for all of your valuable info!!
ОтветитьVisa agent can take care of that bank account without tge 800,000 bht
ОтветитьI use wise best card ever.
ОтветитьCal the 60 day exemption will continue through 26 great news
ОтветитьYeah with all the hassle and street crime and massive price hikes can see me or anyone else I know that will be going back to Thailand again plenty of other places to Go on holiday
ОтветитьBangkok is not safe for solo travellers at night. End of story. Your Mrs works for immigration pal.
ОтветитьCal , thank you for your rapid response of the changes and knowing about Thailand . Your Awesome 🙌🏻😀
ОтветитьAppreciate the knowledge 👣
ОтветитьThank you, love your videos. Q: is it possible to change a tourist Visa into marriage visa in Thailand ? Got married on 23.5. in BKK.
Ответитьdogs mirror you. If you anchor to fear you invite the attack. Your confidence must exceed theirs and show some kindness. They will often mirror you. I have treated over 500 and never been bitten once.
ОтветитьThank you very much Cal.
ОтветитьHow often do you run into a snake or scorpion ? I'm coming in November and I'm a bit wary of that.
ОтветитьI need info on 6 days in Thailand.
Shopping wholesale market.
Site seeing (phuket/ pattaya)
Ideal place to stay bangkok
Hi from India 🇮🇳 we had plan to visit Bangkok next week as we r confused abt the news of Combodia conflicts…so do we need to cancel the trip or the stituation r normal pls share
ОтветитьWhat's with all the indoor blinking/flickering lights in Thailand?
ОтветитьWhat's the situation with COVID cases? Heard on the news that there was 20,000 cases on a single day in Bangkok!
ОтветитьElectronics shopping is at Pantip Plaza.
ОтветитьE-SIM, go to any shopping mall, get AIS monthly, $10 USD or about $12 CAD, no brainer, never buy any SIM cards or E-SIMS at the airport. Bangkok is way safer than any North American city by far. Dental work at our dentist in Hua Hin (DR Nana) was 1/6th the cost of Canada, we got 5 fillings, cleaning, panoramic XRAY and consultation all for $300 CAD, maybe even 1/8th of CAD prices. Only 1 visa makes sense, the DTV, easy to get, 6 month stamp at the airport, no brainer.
Ответитьcan you advise us what to put on the TDAC if we want to enter Thailand and leave from Malaysia or arrive in Malaysia and overland/train up to BKK these arrival card inventions seem set up for 3 week holiday fly in-fly out visitors
ОтветитьWhat if biometric or face recognition machine didn't recognise me at the airport, will I be deported back?
ОтветитьAre copies of your passport ok for some of these transactions? Or does it have to be the physical one?
ОтветитьHi Cal l, you also need your passport when visiting museums. You'll get it back when you leave the museum. Thanks for you great Work. 🍀
Ответитьnice videos; I bought a ticket for 6 months in Thailand, I get a 2-month visa and 1 month at immigration, how do I get my 3 months now?
