thank you! you inspired me to make this in my garage :)
ОтветитьMetric is so much easier.
ОтветитьDid any of the wood need to be treated for outdoors or were they all just standard 2 x 4s?
ОтветитьMy question is this: why is everyone using subfloor sheets as opposed to 1/4" plywood for those shelves? It's not like we'll have 200lbs items sitting on these shelves lol
ОтветитьWas there no support on the top shelf where the osb met?
ОтветитьFrom some experience of building these before, I liked to leave space between the corner and the shelves to store tall skinny things like spare wood or rakes or skiis or….
ОтветитьWhat is the name of that part that you used to make the holes that go to the side for the wood on the sides? I don't know if I explained 😂
ОтветитьI think all of those 28 short cross-beams are overkill. They’re not adding anything strength-wise. Nice unit though.
ОтветитьGreat video. I have subscribed
ОтветитьGood video but , WHEN will brits and Americans STOP using imperial feet and inches ..... It's prehistoric
ОтветитьWhich length screw did you use for the Kreg Jig holes?
Ответить👍
Ответитьhere a 2nd time to remind myself. building another shelf today. Thanks so much!
ОтветитьNeatly done ✅ nice way to conserve space😀
ОтветитьThe bottom shelf from the ground up looks so uneven. even organized, it still looks cluttered up with all the different color bins. if u used all the same tubs, it would look better in sync.
ОтветитьPerfecto!!!? Just !!!!
Okey up !!!
This model go in my room
Thank thank TEACHER
SALTA.ARG.
You can always tell someone is an idiot when they use a kreg jig to build garage shelving. You don't need it, they make extremely weak connections and you are over complicating your build.
Don't rely on screws to support your shelves. Put bracing between the shelving and the lower shelf or floor so the shelf itself is supported by structure.
Don't nail the plywood/mdf to the shelving. Use screws so you can easily replace it (which you will definitely need to do if you use that chip board crap.)
Hi. Did you use 7/16 OSB?
ОтветитьYeah, a 4” slope is a bit extreme. Mine is only a 1” slope. But, my previous house was 3”. Great build. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьThis is very cool. I’m planning to build these in my garage.
How long did this take, and do you know about how much it costed?
No reinforcing the six poles?? Rutro
ОтветитьHmmmm the guy I just watched doing the same job basically said NEVER use pocket holes(can't remember why) ...strength perhaps?! He instead did the four screws/ 3 screws method to avoid colliding.
ОтветитьRe ur un-even garage corner .....just fill that w some water & put some koi in there lol
ОтветитьSuper nice build! Thank you!
ОтветитьYep, this is basically the way I’m gonna do mine.
ОтветитьIm al for build a tank but why so mutch nails and skrews on the sheets in this kind of videos? dose it not be enough with just the corners and MABY on the middle if its pretty long sheet ?
dont get me wrong , I like this build and love watching woodworkingbuilds, but always wonder about the amount if its nessesary or overkil if I missing something :)
Great work! How did you cut/optimizes your OSB sheets for a 32 inch depth without much wastage?
ОтветитьHow do you get your car door open on the shelf side?
ОтветитьWhy would you make a shelf basically on the floor? Purpose of shelves is to store vertically and take advantage of the "air" space. Seems like a waste of time and money. Other than that, good video. I got some useful ideas from it.
ОтветитьWhat's the bit you used for the screw holes please?
ОтветитьI’m applying this design to my garage and I had a question. Which wood screw did you use for the pocket holes? The 3 1/2” or the 2”? Thanks for the content. Keep it up!
ОтветитьThanks for making this video
ОтветитьThanks for the walk through, I just made a set of bunk beds loosely off the shelf design for my octuplets.
ОтветитьJust finished building these shelves thanks!
ОтветитьThanks for the video, made things more easy for me.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьOr you could build each shelf before you screw it to the wall. And then lose the drama theme with the terrible music, unless this is supposed to be a radio show....
ОтветитьExcellent walkthrough, thank you! For the vertical 2x4s that touch the concrete floor (which can be wet during rain), should I use the pressure treated kind vs kiln dried?
ОтветитьGreat video! I am planning to build only about 1'-1.5' deep shelves and I feel like 2x4 is overkill for horizontal frame that holds the plywood. I am curious if 2x3 will be sufficient in this case. Is there any rule for choosing 2x4s or 2x3s? The vertical support will still be 2x4s.
ОтветитьSuperbe boulot.. Ym French. Please what's music? Thanks you
ОтветитьCould you explain where you used the 10 x 3-1/2 screws and where you used the 8 x 2 screws?
Your design is great and I’d like to copy it for my own garage, just wondering where you used those two screw sizes as I also wanted to do pocket holes and was wondering if the #10 size fit better or the #8, so would appreciate a response!
Thank you!!
Hi Jason. You mentioned 3 type of screws in the comment section. Can you please explain how you used screws?
ОтветитьPocket holes for the stretchers is genius
ОтветитьDid these rely on just the sheer strength of the screws?
ОтветитьExcelente gracias por la idea saludos
ОтветитьAwesome video and exactly what I need for my garage. I'm going to build them, for sure. After all of this time, is there anything that you would have done different?
ОтветитьAwesome 👌
ОтветитьДа ти го туря на инчовете
