I paid £399 cash no trade and I'm.waiting for the free watch so it's 100% totally worth the
Upgrade.
As for running at 1080p, thst is purely an individual choice, this is Android not iOS.

Isn't it amazing how these reviwers abandoned one handed use when they spoke about the Pixel Fold and Oneplus Open cover screens and inner screens

As for the Exynos chip, it's better than the 8 gen.2 and I'm waiting for my 8gen 3 to arrive for a real works comparison. Going by benchmarks is a waste of time. because there is no way Samsung will let the runts of the litter outperform the Ultra. ( this year.any wsy ) The Exynos will stand up to scrutiny, so it will be interesting to see what they do next year..

Should I upgrade for s24 ?

The S10 was able to change between HD, FHD and WQHD.
FHD & WQHD looked absolutely the same!
The only difference was the higher energy consumption...

Watching this one a nice flat screen monitor and the video has rounded corners unless I full screen it. I guess it is YT just rounding the corners, or perhaps my browser. Maybe it is a sign to stay away from the Ultra and spend the money on something else.

I was a Samsung Note fan boy for a long time. Bigger was better. But for the last couple years I've been downsizing and loving it. My preference now is as small of a phone I can get but still having flagship specs. I had the s23 and absolutely loved it. (My wife has it now) Now I have the S24 and love this one too!

S24+ is the best model. If you took advantage from Samsung's Pre-order promotion and trade in program you can get it the 12gb ram and 512gb mode with 45w charging. I traded my S23 in for $700 CAD and got the S24+ for $749 CAD. However I'll miss the 6.1 compact design.

When you're not in NA, S24Ultra will make sense more because the regular S24s will have the Exynos chip.

Google Assistant already has "screen search" which is basically Samsungs implimentation of "circle search", processing and cameras aside the largest feature to look forward to is Samsungs live translation. The feature is only available when you have network connectivity though, meaning if your connection is stable enough for a phone call but not to access the internet then its unavailable. But with network connectivity being necessary what's stopping Samsung from implementing the same features on their previous S generation considering its processing power?

Titanium isn't stronger or harder than steel....I don't know how people keep mistaking this. Sure, some of Titanium's highest tempers are stronger than lower grade steels, but if you compare the same grade steel is significantly stronger and steels highest temper is far stronger than Titanium. The only thing Titanium is is lighter and more corrosion resistant than steel. It has a better strength to weight ratio but it is indeed far weaker than steel.

Great video. I've got the 24+ on order. Got into the special pre-order thingy 2 hours before it was over, had to make a choice w/o seeing the phones. Two factors moved me to the +, the chip, the rate of speed for recharging (45 vs 25). I'd be interested to hear your take on the two chip options and if it should matter.

I purchased the S24+. I am upgrading from the S23+. The reason for upgrading after a year is that my previous phone is an S21, which has 12 gigabytes of RAM. I miss the extra memory in the S23+. I know that the Ultra variant has the aspects I want (expect an SD card slot), but I prefer the look and feel of the base and plus models.

Samsung is being dirty for Europe.
Here in Portugal only the ultra is a snapdragon, the others are exynos and to hide that they don't tell the processor on the website and promotional material because they know they're selling us the inferior product, and on top of that we pay way more.
S24 starts at 939.90€ ( 1022 USD )
S24+ starts at 1199.90€ ( 1305 USD )
S24 ultra starts at 1499.90€ ( 1630 USD )

Just a heads up if you are in Europe and thinking about either getting the plus or the ultra. GET THE ULTRA. That is because the ultra has a snapdragon processor worldwide whereas the s24+ has an exynoss which is 10-20% slower and has worse battery

I rather have the Exynos version because it's made by Samsung, which means it will be longer supported than Qualcomm chips, which they love to kill support for after 2–3 years. The Exynos 2400 version also seems to have more cores and better battery life on the S24 Galaxies over the Snapdragon 8.

International Galaxy versions are also usually dual SIM, which the US version is not. The Snapdragon 8 is only better in GPU (games), but besides that, the performance gains are tiny and anyone will hardly notice them in day-to-day use. In actual usage, the Exynos 2400 could actually outperform the Snapdragon 8 in some workloads, since it has more cores.

The Exynos 2400 was released just now, so it's actually newer than the Snapdragon if you want to be picky. I rather trust Samsung with security patches on their own chip than Qualcomm, which has a horrible reputation when it comes to security patches.

Just got myself the S24 Ultra... It is a very nice phone to play with and way better than my old A30 XD. Only thing the bugs me is ATM I couldn't get the same "matt" finish in a screen protector. So while I have a tempered glass protector, its given me all the glare of the lesser models.

I'm a digital artist, and wanted to be able to doodle on my next phone, so I've got myself the 24 ultra, upgrading from the regular S22. I can actually use my other digital pens on the screen since it's the same wacom technology in both them and the s pen. definitely a two hand phone in my tiny hands and clubbed thumbs. The screen's also wow-ing me in its resolution. Loving it so far 💚

A glass screen protector kinda nullifies the Ultra's screen reflective tech. Also after I installed a glass screen protector my fingerprint sensor virtually stopped working.
