"The source of the pawa" Lol who are you quoting? Im not a native english speaker but sound like australian? Scottland?
ОтветитьGood video.
ОтветитьWow, amazing stuff. Thanks Chuck, all the way from Kenya.
ОтветитьThanks a lot!
Ответитьwhy can't I access the files now without paying on the website? Did something change? I have been finding this very helpful! I hope to be able to figure out how to access the lab files
Ответитьwhat is your name?😁
Ответить😘
ОтветитьActually you forgot to mention that in 1998 Cisco acquired Selsius out TX to build their VOIP business!
ОтветитьYou are having too much fun. Good explanation.
ОтветитьThat's right, PoE technology is amazing, it works brilliantly! Recently, I implemented a project in which the IES2105-4P1F-P48 switch was used, several months have passed and the device and this technology work without any problems at high temperature, 55-60 degrees Celsius...
ОтветитьI just got an ad from some bodybuilder dude saying to stop drinking coffee if you want to be healthy! Ha! To hell with that shit! coffee break time ☕️
ОтветитьWhen you say inline? Does it have a UPS Installed ?
ОтветитьGreat content, thank you for making this. Something that I "think" was not mentioned, does the ethernet cable need a matching spec for the POE standards? Or will any cable with four pairs work with any POE standard?
ОтветитьI have making alot of Ethernet cables.
The picture you have on screen with The position on the leeds. I have the same exactly picture printed and laminated. I got that picture way before i started watching your channel.
I love your channel. The way you explain, the way you are as an human and all youre knowlage is amazing. And the "Coffee breakes". Just love them.
I have an old computer as a Router since many years. An old dell optiplex 745 with 4 GB ddr2 memory and core2duo @ 1,86 ghz. I have ipfire on it, and it runs very good.
I have upgraded my home network to not long ago. It is still old hardware but it is mutch better then i had.
Before i had 2 Netgear GS108 switches. Then i needed to get more ports, so i got a Netgear GS105. It worked good.
Then i found a HP Procurve 1810g-24 (24 port gbit/s + 2 sfp). What an upgrade. The only thing i have on wlan/Wi-Fi is 2 android phones, chromecast, Google nest hub, Google nest mini and my laptop. Then i have a philips hue bridge with som lightbulbs. It is fun to Play with razer synapse 3 and hue lights. I have keyboard, mouse and mousepad from Razer.
Thanks for all videos you are doing. Keep up the good work.
Love your content. I don't know if it's because I've studied this stuff in the past, this stuff seems to click WAY better with your style. Looking forward to more CCNA 200-301 videos!
Ответитьi have a nokia famtmile 4g outdoor antenna and it comes with a 53v poe adaptor to give it power and also to connect a router to the internaet to distribute wireless signal , however i would want to buy a backup mini poe ups to power the router wen there is no AC power ,but the highest i have seen is the 48v poe mini ups , will it be sufficient to power the 53v fastmile or is there something i can use to convert the 48v poe to 53v to power the fastmile
ОтветитьMy dad has that phone, and I never knew what the hell it was until now lol! He had it for a few years!
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьThanks for the vidya. I really needed this knowledge, and more.
ОтветитьWe gonna Power the Building Now !!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thx again for a very valuable information
Actually interesting arguments over passive and active POE. I have a use case that may peak your interest. We used the UAP-AC-M series mesh AP's in mobile site equipment, specifically mobile work-over rigs used in oil and gas for servicing. Obviously used outside of the IECX explosive radius for those who are concerned. We found that due to the PLC infrastructure used in plant equipment and the 24v supply from the vehicle manufacturers BBM supply passive POE could readily and easily tap into the vehicles existing supply behind a breaker rated for the UAP-AC-M. Having these on each piece of equipment allowed the PLC automation systems to not only interact with each other (Hands-Free operations), but also allowed segregated WiFi systems to be put in place for continuous WiFi network coverage throughout the site for WiFi calling systems and telemetry for use of the workers. The range was surprisingly good and this allowed the company to downsize the crew from over a dozen to 4-5 workers. With fly in high risk work, this cut the company costing down by nearly $1.5m each year per crew. Passive POE was a godsend in this use case where all cabinets were locked out for electrician and IT access only.
ОтветитьThe loss of watts confuses me, if I thinking about summing it up. Might be a lot of energy for heating the walls. As long as you safe heating costs all fine :D!
ОтветитьYour right, power is evil ⚠️
ОтветитьIsn't running power within a data cable BAD? With EMI etc?
ОтветитьGreat video 😊
ОтветитьHey Chuck,
I gotta say:
I have learned a ton of tech stuff from your channel.
In fact yours is my go to channel for any new projects.
I love your production set. Can you explain how you're
getting that awesome back lighting?
Thank you chuck. My first IT related job starts in January, and I will be using PoE cables. This was a tremendous help for my first day.
ОтветитьHello…. I have cat 6 cables running in my walls going to different rooms. I am thinking about installing NVR security cameras via POE…. My question is can POE cat 6 cables and regular cat 6 run together? Will the be interference or heating from the POE cable?
Ответитьevery time he says WAP i gigle a little
ОтветитьTook me 8 and a half minutes to realise this isn't a sweet build.
ОтветитьDoesn't bring interference having too much power running so near the data links?
ОтветитьCan't access the lab file to follow up.
ОтветитьWas looking for some POE(Path of Exile) builds, and found this cool thing about Power over Ethernet.
a really good video.
I'me confused? Does any of the ubiquity (products) switchers support "active" PoE?
Ответить"More power to ya"....gotta love a perfectly placed pun/play on words....
ОтветитьBro can you try to breathe atleast? You talk too fast.
ОтветитьAwesome explanatiion
ОтветитьBest analogy I've heard for passive PoE 🤣 "It's like an Evil Oprah" - NetworkChuck
ОтветитьWhat is Power OUT: DC 12-55V 4/5+7/8 ???? ...it won't power any of my things
ОтветитьGetting into IT studying for my CCNA and I’m loving your videos 🙌🙌
ОтветитьWhat was the model number on that camera?
ОтветитьI bought Mikrotik equipment for my house and their equipment supporting passive POE has made me second-guess going that route. A major fear has been that I might accidentally enable it on a port with a distant non-poe device, potentially causing a fire that I'm not able to see and thus not able to promptly respond to.
The equipment I currently use only supports this on one of its ports, so I've put a warning-red rubber plug in that port on each unit to make sure no-one inserts anything, but Mikrotik equipment suitable for some upgrades I"m considering tends to support passive POE on every port, so that approach doesn't work.
I've been trying to find any source of certainty when it comes to which non-poe devices can tolerate unexpected passive poe, but I only see people being blamed for making a misclick.
You shall be my uni teacher
ОтветитьOne power source switch doesn't sound very redundant
Ответитьit is interesting also to understand if you can reduce energy cost on your bills...
ОтветитьDrinking game. Take a shot for every time he says power
ОтветитьYou should reduce the coffee. It makes one a nervous insomniac with a pounding heart and shaky hands that often spill or drop things. One coffee in the morning is more than enough.
ОтветитьPOE makes me wonder why they created utp with 8 lines in the first place, they only used2 pairs and didnt know POE was coming right :)
