When you decide to go to the system of Ne, you should make sure you bring at least one shrubbery, not too tall, and not too round, but a little short shrubbery.

Spanj? Do you happen to have a copy of the ship as you found it? Not that I have anything against how you rebuilt it, but I would enjoy the opportunity to redo it myself. Your builds are great, but by taking a fully fit and finished ship, I learn nothing.

Love the series, Spanj and I'm really enjoying my own play-through. I appreciate your journeys through POIs are great entertainment, and I wouldn't want that to change - but have you tried using the combat drill to go directly to the core? In some cases, you can core a POI with very little effort, and much fewer spawns (or go directly to the epic container when it's right in front of you)

Only story context you need for the ghost ships are ghost ships back in the age of sail
Also the UES ship is becoming a ghost ship

Junkyard planets are great. You can almost fly away with some of the ships. I actually fixed up both the ones you found. The small one as a HV/SV lifter, and the big one (Warchain in the factory) as a mobile base. The default one uses a ton of medium thrusters. I'm trying to outfit it with large 2x2 thrusters from Junk Storage and wrecks (or 3x3 when I get enough CPU).

I can only speak to my personal preference, but I have loved finding and restoring HV/SV/CV that I come across. I have still built some of my own items (because honestly some of the items are kind of crap), but it is still fun to do. CV restoration is a big time commitment, and I wouldn't even entertain the idea if it was not for the new Ctrl+Click feature that let's you copy a blocks shape and texture. Maybe use the ship rebuild adventure as a Saturday Survival mode Chillin and Buildin?

There are almost always one restorable CV on each planet. The hard part is finding it. The plus side is it gets around the no spawn rule. You just need a core and you own a CV.

The CV you discovered at the end and are thinking about restoring is one of the better options. There is a couple more, but they are not as big. Beware of the blocks with negative health. They disintegrate when trying to repair them.

Some pirate asteroid bases I have found in space which either have rare promethean on them or some other type.. But trading stations have been my go too especially when it's a enemy station = great loot... Gutting them out was quite time consuming but end result was finding another capital ship is easier the further in you go... While the only problem for me is the planets with no capital ships allowed, the loot down there is soo vast that you honestly take more time carting it back n forth... Is it worth it, depends!!!! 1 capital ship I found that I could take over was 9X the size of your current starter.. It was HUGE!!!! This Scenario would make a great Multiplayer Gameplay..

Barren metal planets are pretty good for oil shale from surface rocks (small rocks are best), also in the valley walls you can mine out a lot of iron. I would take trips with a laser drill SV and stock up on pure iron from that alone, little time consuming but the cost of repairing those bigger CVs is a lot of iron. That last CV is one of my favs, i gutted all but the kitchen for storage and statues. If you didnt know yet the most of the statues that you find in Junk Storage reduce energy cost (save on gens). Hope this helps.

i read in a patch note that there are some areas in space where you can use the factory to spawn a space station. it may work on certain planets too not sure though. i like finding the skips and seeing what it takes to get them to fly. so far though i just used them to build a clone then park them off to the side. i found a huge SV , size class 4 , all combat steel. over 60 RCSs...it was so heavy i could barely get it to move lol. i decided to build one from scratch and a bit smaller. i have been using your method in a way. i place the starter core on my wood base floor. when it drops i place carbon blocks straight out on all sides then remove the wood floor and dig under it if need be. remove all but the last few carbon blocks on the ends and it just hovers nicely. im currently building an SV a lot like the one you seen on the Jewel planet i think it was. a long and narrow arrow thing. the SV shield is nice but dam is it pricy on CPU. ohh yes there are CPU compressors for SVs but they are 250kg each and all 5 of them will reduce cpu by 5k total, which dont seem worth it to me. i forget what page its on. good vid

In my first play through of Star Salvage I rebuilt that CV as my main ship, it was fun and has great potential but watch out for -ve HP blocks around the rear and in the engine pods, you must use 'Retrieve Blocks' on them and replace them because if you try to repair them they explode. There is plenty of room for enough thrusters to make it a Heavy Lift CV (3-4Gs) so it's great for salvaging on those big planets that allow CVs. The Ghost ships are part of a side quest for Polaris Corp where you can get rep and money for collecting the Ectoplasm if you are not wanting it for fuel.

You do seem to be having a bit of a fuel supply problem, but Star Salvage seems to be like vanilla. Filling up at stations is dirt cheap - not like RE . I'm only just off the starter planet and filled my crap CV up completely for 15k at the ISI scrapper station. You can make big bucks mining the Mg asteroid in orbit and selling the powder to a trader for 1k each. Easy money. Even without the asteroid, you can take all the RCS and thrusters of a junk SV in 5 mins to get enough to fill you up.

If I was able to play this game, I would want to build the biggest most elaborate ship I could, a T4 collective ship. It would be several ships in 1, each with a distinctive use. And all ships would have massive cargo, so they could carry complete blocks for trade or sale. It is an interesting idea if anyone would want to try it..

Maybe a bit of a dumb question. But is it possible to convert a CV to an SV? If so, the two ships that you first found could be a SV and CV maybe? Think that first ship has some good ability to put some extra storage in, it looks cool as well and honestly. Both fit the same aesthetic even as well. Which obviously is just bonus points but whatever.
Love this series. And damn, 11 episodes in and only now finding a ship you could possibly restore.

The Warhawk CV is probably the best and biggest junk Cv you can find, but the issue with it is it's Really heavy and needs alot of thrusters and the required cpu to even get it to move to get it off the junk planet. Same story for Mr Randalls cargo ship, they just won't move without tons of down thrust.

No CV on most planets is more than stupid. I can understand that you can't go on some planets, but most? Or that you can't use your blueprints at all (i would understand if you can't use them because of a signal in a radius of 30 or 50 LY around your starter planet).

Many ideas are great as a starter scenario but not for the entire game.
