I just saw a My Three Sons Marathon yesterday on stechey Comedy.
ОтветитьI had such a crush for Barry. Still do a bit.
ОтветитьI just watched a episode of The Twilight Zone with William Demarest Uncle Charlie!
ОтветитьGreat interview! Barry seems like a nice, down to earth person with fabulous stories & am amazing resume. Ill look for his book & for him to pip up in more tv shows & movies.
ОтветитьBarry is like his brother Stan:gentlemanly & down to earth.
ОтветитьBarry was such a cute little boy.
ОтветитьI still watch My Three Sons to this day on Me TV.❤
ОтветитьThanks Guy's,
That was a lot of fun with Barry Livingston. 👍
Loved that show, I watched daily after school and in some ways Fred MacMurray was more if a father figure to me than my own dad. Uncle Charlie and the boys provided a sense of calmness and I really miss that.
ОтветитьI have my tv on while watching this video. The Honeymooners just came on just now ow MeTV!
ОтветитьI was born in 1961 and this was one of the first shows I watched. I really got more into it when Dodie and Barbara came on. Dodie had a lot of drama going on. I was always very engrossed when she was on it.
ОтветитьDid Barry listen to Vin Scully on a transistor radio while at the Dodger games?
ОтветитьWonderful interview!
ОтветитьLeave a review? OK. Entertaining and informative. Fred MacMurray had 2 adopted daughters was mind blowing, and having O'Neal fired was probably a bad call, but hey, My 3 Sons succeeded. Thanks gentlemen.
ОтветитьWhen I was a little girl, there used to be an annual Christmas parade on Pacific Ave. in Huntington Park. I ran up to the convertible that Barry was in and shook his hand (My Three Sons cast in the car).
ОтветитьEnjoyed this a lot. I remember seeing Barry on a Lucy Show episode.
I especially like My Three Sons when they moved to a new home and introduced Tina Cole to the series.
Awesome! Both Barry and Stanley are such smart, sweet, professional guys! It's no surprise these shows became hits, and endured because of all the GREAT people involved. THANK YOU ALL for sharing this behind the scenes info!!!! 📺❤️
ОтветитьJohn Cato looks more like Ernie than Barry does...Amazing
ОтветитьGreat interview. My Three Sons was part of my childhood back when the shows were worth watching. Very few in more recent times come close. Enjoyed hearing all the little unknown tidbits of information. Thanks for the memories, Barry.
ОтветитьI am sure I am not the only one with tons of tabs open at the mention of projects Barry has been involved in! Great interview; very entertaining and informative! I am happy to have discovered your channel.
ОтветитьErnie was the cutest.
ОтветитьOddly enough, if you've ever seen that MY Three Sons-Partridge Family reunion show, William Demarest, from a remote location, spoke of Frawley as a good friend. Don't know if they ever worked together, but you would think they knew each other.
ОтветитьWell ok, I just found my new favorite channel!!
ОтветитьOne of those interviewers looks too much like that wonderful person Al Franken.
Ответитьfabulous 😍💙💙💙
ОтветитьMike was mentioned as teaching out east to Barbara
ОтветитьMr Cato, I LOVE your interviews!
Pat Priest
Butch Patrick
And now Barry!
I am off to find more!
He played on the movie called elevator
ОтветитьI still watch My Three Sons on you tube.
ОтветитьI'm about the same age as Mr. Livingston. I remember during the initial run of the show, I had trouble with the Frawley/Demarest change as well as the Considine/Livingston change. The latter may have had more to do with the absence of Merideth MacRae than with Tim Considine. Anyway, I'm watching the show now and can see that Barry was an incredibly good actor, perhaps even the equal of Lisa Loring of the Addams Family. It's no wonder why the writers gave him so many of the best lines and made him the focus of so many of the stories.
ОтветитьHe was really good in hostile three as the face peeler.
ОтветитьBarry and Billy Mumy and Butch Patrick are all 70 now (crazy) but still very sharp and competed for juvenile roles against each other for years. I have watched all three interviews you did with them. It would be interesting to get the three of them together for a roundtable discussion.
Ответить67 and i loved My Three Sons! So creepy in the slasher film Hostel 3 & didnt say one word
ОтветитьErnie and later Dotie were my absolute favorites. They’re acting was so genuine; cute and really funny. Honestly Don Grady seemed full of himself. Chip was alright but Ernie was real and so cute. I’m not surprised Barry was the most successful and versatile. I see so much authenticity in him. Still so cute!
ОтветитьBarry was the best actor in My Three Sons. He was the best part of the whole series. I always wanted to hang out with him and play GI Joes and other toys. Amazing to hear him speak about it. Thank you for one of the best shows ever.
ОтветитьOzzie Nelson proved helpful in the early careers of both Stanley and Barry Livingston . It must have his experience with young Dave and Rick .
Ответитьi was thinking oh well maybe ill check out B.L. interview i have a minute. A BRILLIANT EPISODE one of the best. BARRY IS A TREASURE TROVE of knowledge about HOLLYWOOD and charming likeable in everyway
ОтветитьGreat interview with Barry Livingston. Enjoyed it.
ОтветитьOzzie and Harriet!
ОтветитьI was on the set of a number of television shows back in the 70s several times and there was a show called. It is enough. And I saw Dick Van Patten, who wasn’t much of an actor, not very good looking at all, of course, but regarded himself as a star of the show. However, it was called eight is enough. It was really about all these kids. But I’m sure he didn’t see it that way. This guy threw fits. This guy stayed in histrailer and didn’t come out until everybody was ready. What a Primadonna that’s what I thought.
ОтветитьJohn, great interview
Barry was a great guest and his stories were priceless. Thank you.
Love the rehash of My 3 Sons. By the way, Don Fedderson was once Linda Kaye Henning's father-in-law.
ОтветитьI just found your show very fun to see these interviews about shows I watched as a kid!
ОтветитьWhen I was 12 took a picture in front of the My Three Sons House at CBS
ОтветитьI loved his appearance on the Dick Van Dyke show in which his character's mother forces him to sing an aria by Mozart, and imitates her when she corrects his pronunciation.😅😅😅😅
ОтветитьAbout Fred MacMurray not thinking Ryan O'Neal was funny (watch What's Up Doc), with that dialogue, it must've seemed very difficult To be funny because there were no really big laughs in the series.
ОтветитьMy dad loved My 3 Sons, Star Trek, and Barney Miller, so I had to watch these 3 shows because of him. But he has passed on now so seeing this interview brings back good memories for me.
Fred was my dad’s favorite character but mine was Ernie!
I am surprised they made him go to school and learn math at 4 especially back in those days when a lot of kids didn’t even go to kindergarten and definitely not daycare. They just started formal education at 6 in the first grade. I went to a private kindergarten (there were no public kindergartens) but we didn’t study math or reading until we got in the first grade.
ОтветитьThank you for watching my channel! If you enjoyed this video, please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE to my channel. I have fun talking about television from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s television shows and often with the stars of the shows.. __
