They used the best NA (1.8l), the updated NB2, and the ND2 with the hotter cams and higher redline. Why compare with a base, original NC1?
4th gen is fast
ОтветитьI have the NC & I have to say it’s great to drive & I always use premium fuel which makes it a little more powerful & it does accelerate really well on the highway when over taking it may not be the fastest off the line but it has plenty of power to make up for once it gets moving . A truly great handling car & great engine ! My favourite generation is the NC all those the ND sexy I can’t afford a new one so my heart stays with the NC ❤

ОтветитьJust to clear up any confusion all 2ltre nc Mx5 s mk3 3.5 and 3.75 produce the same brake horsepower and torque also same rev limit.

ОтветитьWhy is sam using heel and when Doing the brake test because by him keep matching the revs. It's not using the engine breaking to aid him to stop.
Change down as your breaking by all means, but don't use the throttle.
Im a racing driver sovi should know.
Im 99.9% sure Mat that the mk3 had VVTI as the mk2 was the last of the normal engines before the world of car manufacturers went VVTI MAD!

ОтветитьMiata is clearly not "always the answer" if early, good condition Boxsters can be had for a better price than an early Mazda. For a new car price, the MX5 is in its own league. In the used market, the smart buy is the Boxster. Easily. The IMS "boogeyman" has been great for pricing. Scared off the chicken littles! Lol! A used MX5 is poor value when alternatives are considered now. A pity, really...

ОтветитьThey need new model, able to acomodate taller people, and Skysctice X engine. Tuned specifically for Miada. In mazda 3 it makes 186hp / 240NM compared to currents Miada 181hp / 210NM. And it makes more power lower down as well. And that is tuned for low consumption not performance.
That engine can surly go for 200-210 HP and 250-260NM torque eazy.
If they chose little biger compressor for it maybe even more. But they dont need more.
200 HP, 250NM sounds perfect !
And for who wants more, tuners exhoust intake will always be an option to reach more.
This is much better option then going hybrid, to satisfy new standards, as we all know skyactive X can do it. Even Euro 7.
Nick suits that MX-5 perfectly with the driving cap. Absolute class haha
