Besides having a communial meal my only other problem is that British cap you're sporting, unless you're Canadian what the heck big dog.
ОтветитьI did San Jose to Seattle multiple times
Disgusting and dirty.
Steel wheels are horrible.
The ride was the very epitome of NVH.
Noise Vibration and harshness.
Cars are so superior to trains
Trains are horrible!
I can remember taking Amtrak from Seattle to Chicago with by Dad and Sister in a Bedroom in the 80's, but I don't remember the food being as good as this.
ОтветитьIt’s really disappointing that you don’t appreciate the mundane, graffitied, street scape of LA - it’s just as wonderful as the beautiful countryside. It’s all part of it, the good and bad. Love and promote it all, stop saying it “isn’t perfect” .
ОтветитьI always dream of riding a train specially the Starlight thank you for the video.
ОтветитьLove the watch
ОтветитьAs a former Oregonian, I want to give you a huge thank you for pronouncing "Willamette" correctly! Thanks for another great video too!
ОтветитьHow much were the lunches and breakfasts?
ОтветитьWhat's the difference between the Starlight train and the Pacific Sleeper for the LA to Santa Barbara leg? Is it two different routes?
ОтветитьI've never been on this train, but my parents have. As a big family, we often went to northern California, Oregon and Washington. But one lunch stop in Oregon at a lunch stop in the trees, our family encountered an eerie silence. No birds or insects making noises. We felt like we were being watched and felt so uncomfortable that we left without eating lunch.
Years later, my husband and I with our young son, encounterd a similar feeling at a rest stop at night. There was no one else around, and we left!
I've been to Crater Lake. It is beautiful, but if you have never been to Lassen National Park, that should be on your bucket ist too!
Did you notice you passed right through a space force base?
Ответитьi'd start/end the journey in san diego, there's miles and miles of beautiful coastal views to see. Between LA and San Diego there's numerous Amtrak trains each day, or take the Coaster (San Diego-Oceanside) and Metrolink (Oceanside-LA) which is cheaper and you can hop on/off and visit Oceanside and San Clemente and other numerous other stops along the way
ОтветитьLove your videos, especially the rail trips. One minor correction to your dialog is that Klamath Falls is pronounced "KLAM-əth."
ОтветитьYour delay after crossing the Columbia River into WA was not in Seattle... it was Vancouver. Okay, small detail, but you're still hours away from Seattle where the delays can be much more significant. You arrived in SEA only 20 mins late? Amazing! I live here... Surprised it wasn't 6-8 hours late.
ОтветитьUh... SHuh-mult. Soft CH / SH. Not a hard CH like church. Think SHow... SHower... CHivalry... Can't wait til you get to WA. OMG! You got Willamette right!!!
ОтветитьIt's pronounced CLAM-ath Falls.
ОтветитьYou are an adorably cute couple, down to earth, like normal everyday people. Continue making your travel videos together for all of us to enjoy!❤
ОтветитьGreat video! This trip is now added to my bucket list! I wish there's a departure from here in San Diego to Seattle. Thank you! 5/5👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьI enjoyed watching that very much. Thanks
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьWhen are we getting the 15 day roundtrip?
ОтветитьDude, I hope you cherish Sam. She is a treasure. Bright, funny and articulate plus her sly grin is warm and beautiful. You're not too bad yourself brother. Cheers to you both.
ОтветитьIt's Klamath Falls with a short A not a long A. I assume Klamath Lake is the same. Fishing country.
ОтветитьMy grandparents used to regularly ride the section from Santa Barbara to San Jose back in the 1960s when it was still the Southern Pacific Coast Daylight... always wanted to give it a try.
ОтветитьThings you never know you needed which are a real first world issue: ensuites must have
ОтветитьI rode the Coastal Starlight a few years ago from Seattle to LA. I also had a sleeper room. I loved the journey. The train is your vacation, not just for transportation. ❤
ОтветитьTrain Stations and libraries
ОтветитьU didn’t lose subscribers, u gained this new one
ОтветитьThis is a special train route I've enjoyed a few times. ❤
ОтветитьYou said San Luis Obispo right!!! I’m lived there many years!!!
ОтветитьDoes anybody know the cost for this train ride
ОтветитьI did this train north to south twice several years ago. Back then the Coast Starlight was Amtrak's premier train. They offer a complementary wine and cheese every afternoon for first class cleeper passengers.
ОтветитьThe downside is you start in LA and end in Seattle.
Ответитьonly thing that scares me is the lack of fresh air. Like hotels, it seems all of the windows are now sealed. yuk
ОтветитьWhack video.
ОтветитьThis video is so good, with the sound off. This guy has to be the cringiest “host” I’ve ever seen. Trying way too hard, overacting, terrible jokes. Over the top facial expressions and inflections.
ОтветитьGlad you got Burgers and I enjoyed the musical interludes hip hop beats west coast style and beach bum 60’s and 70’s hang 10 action. More push ups next time
ОтветитьNice Appreciate your focus on the beautiful scenery which the video viewers won't like it so much as such things are by n large heavily available in You tube that's in vogue now a days it's food which your r skiping now n them then,,,,, room tour washroom 🚻 cleaness n making bed bro 😴 sleep
ОтветитьI still remember my free rides from San Diego to San Juan Capistrano some 30 something years ago,or from Capistrano to Santa Ana ,we used to jump on trains, what memories
Ответитьi expected to see people dressing a lot better for the level of service! at least, in the movies train passengers dress a lot classier.
ОтветитьHello, can you tell me how you booked this? When I look at the timetables on Amtrak it looks like you have to take a bus for a good 4 hours in Northern california.
ОтветитьVery cool. But I think it would be cooler if people would be able to open a window, like in the buses, to catch a good breeze of air 💨 🥶😶🌫️
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьThe bedroom is the way to go!! Economy seats are hit and miss. Sometimes there are lots of transient types moving from SoCal to the NW. I think you'd need an electric scooter or something for those short stops along the way. Many stops don't have lots to offer near the stations.
ОтветитьI'm sure someone has pointed out that it's not KLAYmith Falls. It's CLAMith Falls!
Love your videos 😊
I have been on that train from LA to Salem, Oregon, on the return trip we were stopped in Kalamath Falls because someone jumped in front of the train, and we are stopped there while they did their investigation, got back to LA 3 hours behind schedule
ОтветитьThere is nothing like riding on a train
ОтветитьGreat Video! Looking to take this trip in April for my Birthday looks like a Great Time!
