Hello and greetings from Germany. Thank you for this great Video. So what is the conclusion for someone like me who wants a replacement for the iPhone Camera. Mainly shooting holiday Pics, landscapes, portraits of the daughter and the dogs. Most phones use 24mm don‘t they? Why should i switch to 40mm? What do you guys recommend? GR or GRx?

For a compact camera I use a Panasonic GM1 with Pan 20mm or Pan 14mm.

I’m really stuck between getting the gr iii or the gr iii x. If anyone has some opinions about which one to go for please help me out. This will be my first digital point and shoot camera. I’ve grown up shooting 35mm film camera such as the Contax t2 my father passed down to me. But at the same time gr iii with the 28mm lens is just classic for the GR series. Finding it difficult to choose as it’s not cheap .

I love shooting with a Ricoh GR camera, but personally I prefer the Ricoh GRIIIx because of the 40mm. photo length, but it is different from person to person 😊

Always enjoy your videos. The shots of just the camera in your hands with nothing in the background give a good impression of how tiny the GR is.

I’m just about to buy a new GR after I killed my GR1 which has finally given up the ghost after 9 years, the best camera I’ve ever owned, I love the 28mm which I used for street, travel, everything, the multiple exposure feature is fantastic. If the GRiiix was 35mm I’d probably buy it, but I’m leaning towards the 28mm, and maybe updating my OMD and using that for tighter focal lengths or even wider than 28, then id have 2 cameras which are compact

I live in Canada... I'm not sure what you would pay for the GRIIIX were you are but here in Canada it is - if you're lucky enough to find one, selling for $1360.00
At that price, there shouldn't be as much as a dust particle on it not alone a less than perfect zoom lens. Makes me wonder though, are we paying for the quality of the camera or just the name?
