Cyberpunk 2077 2.0: Cyberware Update Explained

Is there any way to add modifications to your body cyberware like it was before or now it's just upgrading generations? It's killing me since i started a new game and already have 180+ hours and still can't find out

so we no longer need attributes only to unlock certain pieces of cyberware?

All my cyberware is stuck at uncommon unless I upgrade it, how do I get them to be legendary at first

I'm max level and still haven't found capacity shards in the 239 missions I've done.

I always loved Cyberpunk from Day1 & love that they're updating the game but I dont like that cyberware I had on my character prior to the update like cyberdecks & the different versions of the mantis blades(electric, fire & toxic) got yoinked from me & I have to pay for them again.

All my legendary cyberware is not legendary anymore, why is this

Such a shame it wasn't released like this. Don't get me wrong I really liked it when it released on pc, but I LOVE what it is now.

Well you still can’t remove any cyber wear you put on your character so if you put on the wrong things and now your limit is maxed out and you don’t like what you have on, you can only replace the item with another item so that’s kind of stupid

I just bought the game and all i can say about this newly implemented systhem is that it is really close to what games like deus ex do but cyberpunk actually being a open world game is such a big pro over the linear style of gameplay deus ex has i always wished the devs of deus ex would somehow make a open world game ...

i geuss there were way more people with that same wish cyberpunk grew from games like deus ex and as a deus ex fan i think cyberpunk is absolutely awesome ...

we could only dream about a game like cyberpunk when we were playing deus ex 1 i remember gaming in the late 90's really well it was rough man 😂, everything looked kinda like lego's things were always square and box shaped cyberpunk on my ps5 looks so good compared to that we have come such a long way with games in general yes it launched rough i know but i truly think cyberpunk with its 2.0 update still wil be a classic in the future ,

there isnt anything else on this subgenre put together in a open world game all of the games i know involving a cyberpunkish / cybernetic theme are linear just like deus ex ..

its just to much fun to test and try out different builds in cyberpunk and get all the cyberware you want and so on ... the whole setting, theme and atmosphere in this game all add up really nice and in about 50 hours on the 2.0 version on ps5 i have barely seen any glitches at all besides 1 car being flung threw the street in a strange way there doesnt seem to be very much wrong anymore after what i have seen of the game i can see this 2.0 update was very much needed and the game now finnaly is how it should have been from launch

best thing about the update is now all my builds don't have to have 18 points in tech for legendary crafting. I think most builds will grab 9 points in tech for the renaissance punk perk, but hey that's 9 extra free attribute points more than pre-patch

Do you still need a certain body lvl to equip certain cyber ware?

Not a fan of 2.0 changes. Probably going to revert to pre-2.0. Guess that means no PL for me either. I started a new game in 2.0 yesterday and just didn't like it.

Question: Do Ripperdocs sell higher tier cyberware overtime? I started a new playthrough and all of them sell only tier 2 cyberware. Do I have to upgrade it or will they sell better ones later?

I was hoping they bring back Viktor saying "Have a looook!" when you asked him for new upgrades. It was removed from patch 1.6 onwards, I think.

Are the shards something that just drops randomly and increase your maximum cyberware permanently?

I made myself a new game plus character and finished act 1 last year. And am now playing through act 2 until the dlc comes. And my limit on cyberware is 246 but from the looks of it there seems to be a giant chunk that I should still be able to get. Is the idea to get it from the shards or mostly from the new skill tree that will unlock?

does anything really change the player's appearance?

basically it scales with ur lvl and street cred

is it better to buy tier 1 cyberware and upgrate it or buying higher tier?

At what levels do different tiers unlock now? Was hoping you explained how that system worked😊

Pc gaming is in another level. It’s looks great on my ps5 but the graphics is god like on pc. Oh the update is cool too.

Kinda wish they'd be adding more of the Outfits and Hair Styles of the Edgerunner Characters to the Game - Either as Individual Parts or one of those occasional Presets considering there's already stuff from the show in it like previously David's Vest and Rebecca's Shotgun, and now both of these Characters represented as a Skill ( Edgerunner and Die! Die! Die! ) since unfortunately the MOD to add Ludy's hair to the Game appears to be broken ( well at least the Clothes work )

Sorry if Im asking something that you already explain on your video, but about the cyberware tiers (like comon, uncomon, rare, epic and legendary)

How it works? I started a new save, and looked for all the rippers and only found the common tier ones. Do I need to improve them for them to move up to epic and legendary tiers or is it linked to some character level or skill perk? Or in fact there will be rippers selling higher tier cyberware ?

They ruined my sandevistan build which pisses me off. Phantom liberty is going to need to be immaculate in order for me to get over them nerfing us but buffing cops and bosses. There's harder difficulty settings for a reason

I saw a perk that allows you to get get extra cyberware slot and even have to get perk just to use certain cyberware like cellular adapter/built different.
But I think most interesting are driver update and chipware connoisseur, which I'm sure you're already planning on covering in that "tech" video you mentioned.

I adore this new update, but beyond hopping on to give the new stuff a test drive I’m saving a full playthrough for Tuesday when Phantom Liberty comes out.

I really like the new update with the new perks, cyberware and weapons. There's a lot of synergy there that you can build your character around to really suit your playstyle.
